Lol, first place in the women's couldn't beat the worst in the men's (moto-x enduro). Lot's of other sports they would be competitive.

They both still get the same metal and title though!

Why do men get so resentful of women doing stuff? Sure, a woman may not do as well as the best man out there, but she can do better than a lot of men if she tries. And trying is a hell of a lot better than sitting on her ass and getting fat. She's out doing something interesting, learning new stuff, and becoming a better version of herself. Why do men constantly have to say "yeah, but she's not as good as..."?

Because comparing. It's what both sexes of the human race do. Whether it's people places or things we all do it.  It's our nature.

Eta
The resentful I surmise are resentful by their particular nature.

No one is disputing women can do some things as well or better than men, but it's disingenuous to say women can do anything a man can just as well.

Example:  Combat arms

That came off wrong and it wasn't meant to bash the women doing that sport.

It was my over reaction to hearing a ton of people say women can do anything men can do in the military at the same time they're fine with women competing separately in sport as if sport is harder than combat.

It's the inevitable backlash in response to gender-equalization being crammed down our throats. Some chick wants to ride? You go girl. Same chick wants a chance at selection? LOL, gtfo. You know this. You may not agree with the broad brush insults and degradation of these particular women (although it appears that having those particular women compete on that particular course is pretty fucking laughable), but I'm sure you understand where it comes from.

I agree that women aren't as capable as many men when it comes to combat arms roles (and realistically shouldn't be tasked to perform those jobs), but even the least efficient woman there got off her ass and tried, which is a hell of a lot better than some lazy ass neckbeard lounging on the couch in his mama's basement.

I've only limited experience with riding a dirt bike on trails, light obstacles and such. Initial thoughts:

It's not physically demanding (well...it doesn't have to be - more experienced riders can relax more and let the bike do most of the work). Watching these two videos, I'm seeing a lack of (no pun intended) testicular fortitude in the women. It's not that they're physically incapable of doing what the men did, they just seem to possess more of a sense of self-preservation.

It takes a special kind of "don't give a fuck" to do motocross. I don't possess that gene, either.

Most of the time, getting around the track is easy.  Getting around the track faster than everyone else is where it gets physically demanding.

In Endurocross, just getting around the track is hard

Many of the women got stuck in very exciting ways, whereas the men did not.  This cost many riders a ton of time trying to recover their stuck bikes.
Yet, the men took far worse falls, physically.  They're all wearing protective gear, and pain or not, everyone got up from their falls.

If you're gonna crash in regular riding in "the real world," then yeah, sacrifice the bike and save your body.  One can be fixed easily, the other can't.

But in competition (within reason here), you should sacrifice your body to save the bike.  The bike needs to be working to win.  Your body can work through the pain.

Morgan Tanke, women's pro rider in the X games video, competed in the Moto Amateurs division at King of the Motos.

She finished 1 hour behind the winning amateur who was a guy. 53 min vs 1hr 53 mins.

If she had competed in the pro race she would have been beaten by 1hr 24 mins. The pro winner time was 29 mins.

Same course run by both pros and amateurs. Men and women are mixed in same race.

Top Pro 29 mins male
Top Amatuer 53 mins male (+24 mins)
Top Female 1hr 53 mins (pro racer competing in amatuer race)(+1hr 24 mins from pro. +1hr from amatuer).

I've been to many MX and SX races.
The men are vastly superior in their speeds and ability.
However, there are a few women who could compete with the men, and maybe even qualify for the main event.
No woman will beat, or even place in the top 3 against the men.

Who cares if women like motorcycles and race eachother? Good for them. If you don't want to watch, then don't. My wife and i both like riding ATVs. We even do it together sometimes.

It only becomes stupid when the extreme lesbians and fat ugly chicks feminists demand they do things like join the military or combat arms. That potentially effects us all in a negative way, and nothing is gained except the equality feels.

Well, technically, the work is equal. Both teams are playing soccer games. That's akin to saying a cashier who rings up 100 $1 items has done less work than a cashier who rings up 100 $10 items. One generated less revenue than the other, but the work was equal. The cashier does not get to decide which customers go through their line, nor do the soccer players get to decide who watches which games. So technically, it's not equal pay for equal work.

That's as may be. College football seems to have a ton of fans even though the quality of play isn't on par with the NFL, though.

But I'm not even saying they should be paid equally. I'm just saying it's not equal pay for equal work.

Here's the funny thing.

Women can't compete with men physically, this is axiomatic. It's not even worth debating.

Intellectually, women and men have nearly identical mean IQ, so one would expect they perform equally in intellectual pursuits.

Then we examine IQ distribution, women congregate heavily towards the mean, their bell curve is a very sharp spike with relatively few outliers. Men's bell curve is substantially flatter, lots of idiots but an equally large number of geniuses.

The vast bulk of technological advancement, economic activity, and everything else that makes modern society work, relies on the high IQ segment of the population. There are far more high IQ men than there are high IQ women.

I don't know about that - back in the day I had a girlfriend who rode a 250 like it was a Mongoose BMX bicycle, she could throw that thing around like it was the toy it was...

I had to ride an open class bike to keep up, and I could stomp almost anyone that I met out where we used to ride. There were a few nut cases that had no regard for anyone's safety, and we would haul there asses to the ER to get the compound fractures reset and all stitched up. I got my share on road rash and some seriously mangled gear over the course of time.

Now in my mid 50's I still have a built pit bike ( Honda XR80 with CAM, Carb and pipe ) and My tweaked Banshee for dune running. My days of jumping motor homes and aqueducts has past... but fond memories remain.
