Trump has people embedded everywhere.  For example Hillary started attacking Trump on the way he treated women.  The next day Trump warned her that she didn't want to go there.  She continued the next day and BAM Trump released the Hillary's Friends video showing her with a bunch of men that have treated women much worse than Trump has.  He didn't produce that video in a day.  He knew what was coming based off the people he has on the inside of every campaign and media outlet.

They're getting desperate now.

It does nobody any good to have a brokered convention...

The party elite will broker for a VP spot that goes to an "establishment" person before they allowed for a brokered convention...

I remember when reporters reported the news instead of creating it. It's really sad the way it's turned out.

She picked a fight she can't win, somewhere down the line she's going to take a deluxe Bitch Slap, which she earned.

The Party has a game.   Its very good at the game.

The game is to figure out the "anointed" nominee, and perhaps a backup in case he flames out.   Then identify the likely opposition.

Next, they have power brokers meet with people who overlap with the opposition.  They encourage these guys to run.  They puff them up, they stroke their egos and they get them some $$ and encouragement.   They get them into the race to split the opposition vote.

Then they start alternatively puffing up and then knocking down the shills and, eventually, the real opposition guy.   By super Tuesday, their anointed guy should be the only one left.

Cruz and Trump have fucked that up big time.   Trump by being in the race at all -- which rendered the also-rans into 1 percenters, and Cruz by grabbing a lot more support on a hugely consistent basis than their pretty boy contender.

Now their fucked.   Had things gone the way they wanted, their pretty boy would be in first or, worst, second.   But right now, something in the range of 50-60 percent of the vote has congealed around the "anti-establishment" slate and people are pissed.   The establishment doesn't know what to do with Trump, but the outright fucking HATE Cruz.  For the 'not Trump" minded, the smartest thing the party could do would be to throw every bit of support behind Cruz --- get Rubio, Kaish, and Carson out and try and get all their supporters behind Cruz.   Have YEB! vocally and enthusiastically throw his couple of votes and name behind Cruz.    

But instead, they can't do it.  They fucking hate Cruz.   He got to DC and refused to be turned.   He's still out there fucking up their apple card.  They actually think Trump would be less damaging to their "status quo" than Cruz at this point.

So, like I said... they're in a quandary.   They WILL try a brokered convention, and the logic beyond going with Paul Ryan is to say "well, he was enthusiastically supported as VEEP candidate so the party must love him!"   (They DID already try, and very hard, to get Romney to throw his hat in by the way.....).  

Its going to be a fucking mess.  

The only solace is that all those twenty-somethings who "feel the Bern" might get butthurt and stay home if Hillary knocks him out.   On the other hand, those kiddos believe HARD and if Comrade Sanders IS the candidate I think he'll get elected.

Ratings must be low, just like the voter turnout will be if they get their way.
