in an earlier thread. I made the mistake that he held his beliefs  on ObamaCare because of conviction. It now sounds like he changed his mind at the last minute to save the court from criticism. The guy now appears to be waffling attention whore. My apologies. [://

Were you in the Senate?

Wasn't last minute.  The guys o. the correct side spent the last month trying to get him to come to his senses.

What can you do? He had a pretty conservative record prior to his nomination and nobody could predict the future.

The guy had a seizure not to long ago so maybe his wiring got messed up?  Who knows?  I'm hopeful he'll still go our way on some things. If he goes full blown "Souter" that will be horrible.

 

Yeah, he has let us down at best. At worst he is a traitor.

He made it easier to repeal it tho. Now that it is a tax, its repeal can be added to any budget or revenue bill. Budget and revenue cannot be filibustered. If the conservatives take the senate, they can repeal it with 51 votes. This is a big deal.

He also, protected the commerce clause. They still can't make us buy something. We can be taxed if we don't buy it, but we don't have to buy it.

I don't think he did those last 2 points on purpose.

I still think he is a typical progressive bureaucrat (RINO) that has been caught up in the limelight and praise of his beltway peers and media. Him and McCain will have a nice hot spot in hell together.
