You need a relatively new version of media player.  Download the upgrade at microsoft's site and you'll be good to go.  Worth it as more and more are using .asx/.asf files.

Media Player is up to Version 7.01. Go to Start, Windows update and choose the media player update on the Microsoft Update website.

I use Media Player 6.4 which is the version that comes with Win2K. It played fine. I dont advise that people get Media Player 7, it's a piece of shit. Really bloated and very slow.

Damn!  I have a strong stomach, but I must admit that video was extremely disturbing!  I've seen lots of autopsy pictures/bodies and pictures of murder crimes in the past.  Even moved dead bodies for awhile, but this nonchalant-shooting fashion and taking of a human life will carve a spot in my memory probably forever.  Can't believe how many shots that guy let off.  Not as bad as the slow beheading of the russian soldier, but this video is almost up there.  Damn, and that guy was so casual about it.  The victim probably never expect it.

Blaming the victim?  It's dark, and the circumstance leading to the shooting was not presented.  It's also not clear to me that the shootee knew what's coming or that he poses a threat to the shooter.  I don't think that there is a jury out there (OK, may be except for the Simpson jury) that will acquit this guy based on the video.

This is the sorta $hit that one day will lead to our losing our arms.

Can anyone make out what they are saying?  I think that a transcript would add quite a bit of detail to the video..

The way he shot that guy so calmly in front of the camera makes believe this was an on going thing between the 2 of them. The shooter more then likely setup the camera & baited the guy onto his porch, that way the film can be used as evidence in court that this guy maybe?? feared for his life??

The biggest complaint is that it OVER penatrates not under because of the high velocity.

If he was shooting some high quality hydroshocks or other hollow point they might not have come out but 9mm can go through most anything.

The fear of the 9mm is that it will go through the body, the wall, another wall, and into you neighbors house.

From what I heard, it sounded like this:

"Hey McUZI, I'm gonna shoot your ass for impregnating my Crack 'Ho Daughter !"   Bang - Bang - Bang -Bang.

On a serious note, I watched this vid over a dozen times, both full-screen and normal "player" size, and I heard the following in the VERY beginning:

Guy walks up stairs (advancing on guy w/ gun) and say what sounds like "You and me boy, I don't give a..."

Interrupted by gunshots (4 I believe, in rapid succession). First round looks like it hits target in upper abdomen.  Other shots hard to determine but appear to strike lower on the body. Weapon looks like a large semiautomatic [4"+ barrel(Beretta?)] and sounds like a 9mm.

shooter says "You had enough (boy?), you want some more"

Later on, shooter says "I told you (boy?), but you wouldn't listen."  Also make referrence to target "jumping" (up or on) him.  

This seems to indicate that the "victim" here may have tried to attack the man with the gun when he fired.  Also, there appears to be some past history with the two men, as the shooter indicates (though this is uncertain, for shooter may have said this to cover his A$#).

My question to you all is this:

Situation: (as in the video)

1.You have a gun and a flashlight. Perhaps you heard something outside, of course this is NOT clear in the video, but let's assume that he acted in a reasonable manner by arming himself (as I hear many of you on the board do if investigating/responding to a possible hostile encounter)

2.This man has attacked you before (unclear if this is the case, but for sake of arguement, assume that he has).

3.You have been concerned enough about your saftey to put money into a security camera
system, because of this or otherwise (unclear about WHEN the camera was purchased.

4.The man advances on you, uncaring about the fact that you are armed (it is unclear whether target knew that the shooter had a gun)

5.Your family members are in the immediate vicinity (as it appears in the video)

6.You fear that your own weapon may be compromized during a physical struggle, and that your own firearm may be used to threaten not only your life, but the lives of your family members nearby as well.

I know that there are several ptions that would have produced a different outcome (stay inside and call police, use flashlight as a blunt instrument, etc.), but I do not know if you can condemn a man for firing upon someone who is advancing upon you.  Yes, the other fellow is unarmed, but put yourself in his shoes. Once you have a firearm with you, you have limited yourself in a way, for now you may have to employ that weapon instead of less-lethal techniques due to the danger of a probable weapon grab attempt.

The truth is that we don't have ALL the facts, so I think we should give the shooter the benefit of the doubt (you are all welcome to your opions on his actions, were they right, wrong, etc).  

I detect that the only reason that some members are attacking the shooter is that he sounds like he is from the South.  Do Southerners have LESS of a right to protect themselves?  I don't mean to be P.C., I just want to point out that stereotypes often blind us from seeing what is really there.

I saw this on "worst of the worst" video, not sure of the whole story, but the guy he shot was supposedly bugging him or something-They both were redneck fucks.  The shooter got life in the jug.  He was basically saying "y all aint gonna mess wit me no more" The lady was running back and forth saying fuck fuck fuck.  As far as the camera-it supposedly was a
