I was at work and started feeling real sick tonight. I decided to go home and rest. On the way home on the highway I noticed a car ahead of me hitting the brakes a little to often and I was getting annoyed. I got a little closer and noticed that every few seconds they would tap the brakes repetedly in a similar pattern each time. I got alot closer now in the lane parrallel and noticed it was a women driving while looking stone like while facing straight ahead. She kept hitting the brake pedal just enough to cause the lights to come on but not enought to actuate the brakes. I pulled up next to her and saw a man in the passenger seat laying kind of far back and low. I felt real suspicious of the situation and dialed 911. I gave the operator a detailed description of the car, direction of travel and the man that was in the car with her. I told the operator that just a few minutes earlier I passed a policeman that was sitting in the highway median. I followed until I got close to my home and was feeling to dizzy and week to continue. I don't know if I over-reacted, but it was too suspicious. She would have had to use her left foot purposely to hit the brake pedal enough to cause the light to come on, while still using her right foot to keep constant acceleration. Any thoughts?

I'd say your suspicions were justified, worst case scenario is the police stop them and ask them some questions on the other though you might have saved someone from a world of hurt. In New York though we have prople that drive like that all the time, they're callled senmior citizens

You get a thumbs up from me. Your actions may have saved a womans life and at the worst caused a patroll officer to relocate his speed trap.

I remember seeing years ago on some talk show about someone who did something similar and it turned out she was being kidnapped. I come real close to just blowing it off and minding my own business, but I had an urge to call in on this one.
