5(K-3)-5 = 6K-(5K-2)

5K - 15 - 5 = 6K - 5K + 2

5K - 20 = 1K + 2

4K - 20 = 2

4K = 22

K = 22/4

K = 11/2

Your right, answer quoted above this got it right.


My first grade teacher would have marked 22/4 wrong if not reduced to simplest terms of 11/2. Or, even 5-1/2.
