The deer rammed through the front door and broke the door frame to get inside.“It tipped over the tree, it broke my door frame, there’s a hole in the drywall over there, scuffed up the floor,” Manchester said.Manchester decided he couldn’t wait 15 minutes for Animal Control, so he grabbed the family’s handgun from the safe and shot the buck two
times right on the living room floor.The Department of Natural Resources issued him a tag for his eight-point harvest

Why I never take deer hunting or hunters seriously. You can nail the suckers all day on the roads, and now they fucking break into your house for you!

He shot it in the head and chest, dragged it 10 feet over into the kitchen and done.

Poor deer wasn't armed. He probably had his arms up saying don't shoot. I'm sure he was just looking for some Skittles and a good book to read. Shooter should have just retreated to a closet and called 911. I hope he didn't shoot the deer in the back while he was trying to leave. What's America coming to when a deer can't be a thug for a night. He had his whole life in front of him.

It's Maryland. I went to high school in Hagerstown, just west of Frederick. The only place I've seen smaller deer is down here in the FL keys. But we basically have chocolate labs carrying 10 PT racks

No kidding. The story says they think it might have been the tree since it was fresh cut, and might have had some doe scent on it. That, or his buddies played a prank on him and made a trail of Tink's 69 from the woods to his front porch.
