Article is a bit light on details....

Did the dog have a known history of attacking people?

I doubt this dog had any history until it had one.

Agreed.

That is an extremely lax charge.

This. It only needs to attack a human once and it's dead!

The breed does, that should be sufficient.

No, it's our Human Responsibility system that's fucked! Everything else is in response to that!

Why did the neighbor allow the kids to play outside? Doesn't he know it's dangerous outside? The parents should be held accountable for putting his kids in harms way.

Yes it does, if you owned an animal that snapped and killed someone but never had any problems prior, you should be responsible for it?

It's one thing if the guy bred it as a fighting dog and didn't keep it contained, etc., thus the NEGLIGENT part, but if all he did was have a dog...

Must've had a bad owner...they really are nice dogs, unless their owners treat them poorly.

Must be a shit ton of bad pit bull owners compared to all other breeds.

I can't stand those fucking things.

ETA - and yes, I have dogs, just not those assholes.

Well, yeah. That's kind of the point. The dog had a bad, irresponsible owner.

"Nanny dog" decimates another toddler.

Imagine the psychological issues that poor brother is going to carry with him for years and years. Watching your 5 year old little brother torn apart before your eyes and you can't do anything to help him.

Fuck that breed and the degenerates that think their redeeming qualities outweigh their thirst for child blood.

Officials say the older brother tried, unsuccessfully, to pull the dog off his younger brother before went inside to get his father.

The 9 year old older brother fought the dog before retreving help. He is a hero, but his brother (the victim) didn't make it. Very sad story.

I hope the dog owner gets aids from a broken spoke.

Fuck him.

Firing squad for the dog owner, needle for the dog.

If my dog gets out of my fenced yard and a driver crashes trying to keep from running over my dog and a passenger dies am I guility of negligent homicide?
