Got some Magpul XT rail panels for my railed fore end, and you know what? I can't figure out how to get those suckers on.

I tried to slide them, but they kept getting hung up on the internal ribs (I guess they'll be really secure when I'm done!).

They certainly don't snap on...

What am I missing here?

you snap them on, but you have to bend them and get one side on at a time

I had a rail that they simply would not fit on.  It was .002" out of spec, and just a little too tight for them to snap together.

Sent it back and replaced it with a Larue, and they snapped on no problem.

Hook one side on the rail you are covering, then peel back the other side while you fit the lip over the other side of the rail. It's easiest to start at a corner and work your way down....

The Hive Mind delivers once again, thanks guys.

I found that once I got a corner started, you just press down, and sort of roll the remaining portion onto the rail.

So easy a caveman could do it!
