I use bacon grease in place of oil and butter. Otherwise, that's exactly how I make it.

I have never seen biscuits in a bag! Wish they sold them like that here! I always have to buy 2 of the tubes for my biscuits and gravy.

Biscuits and Gravy are the one Southern thing that has completely grown all over me. It's one of my favorite things to eat.

Unfortunately they make me fat so I have to eat them sparingly.

Made from scatch and rolled out is best, made from scatch and dropped is second, frozen raw dough is third, refrigerated biscuits from a can aren't really biscuits to me. Angel biscuits made with yeast could go anywhere depending on who makes them.

I just never remove the meat from the skillet

and I melt some cheese into the gravy

I love biscuits and gravy. I always just add the flour to the browned meat and rely on the fat from the meat. Sometimes I'll make it for dinner with ground beef and fried eggs and potatoes.
