Good job, & congrats on a new record. Make sure to right it down for the next long shot for remembrance sake. It may be a long time till you get a long shot like that again, &[water boy] mamma always says our memories make liars of us all.[/water boy]

I was shooting the 12" gongs with my 24" V-Match when I saw a ground squirel to the right and behind my target on the burm. It took 6 misses before I made the shot. I was useing south arfican surplus with a slight breeze that I had been fighting all weekend. I can't beleive it stayed around while I missed it! Cruizer |

I have a 20 powe scope on the rifle. I love it. A lot of guys that shoot at the local range are just hunter types that look down at my rifle. Nobody beleived I made the shoot until they looked through my scope to see it!

Congrats on the excellent shot.
I also set a new record for myself this week, 394 paced yards on a G-Hog pup. Satisfying, isn't it? Any pics? Oh, IBTL before the PETA freaks get here.[;)] |

At 550 yards, there's some serious drop on the .223, not easy. Surprised you could hit 12" targets at 1000 yards. Good shot.

12" target at 550 yds
Yesterday my best ten shot string wah a hit on the first six, missed one, and hit the last three. This Bushmaster V-match has gotten better with age. I haven't tried to go to 1000yds with it, 550 is pushing my luck. I have done a five shot 1 5/8" group at 200. I'm really impressed with this rifle especially the chrome lined barrel. cruizer |
