This should have been a good time. The trip advisor rating is excellent, but my experience was much different.
I had checked this place out beforehand, and decided to check if any coupons or groupons were available online. Bingo, one of the more fun looking packages "Machine Gun Experience II", regularly priced at $150 which included an Uzi, M4, and MP5 with 2 mags each, was $99. I purchased it on my phone in the parking lot after ascertaining that they were open, and not busy. On the range, I was supplied the 3 firearms, but only 1 mag each. After shooting, I asked the girl at the counter about the second mags for each. She told me that the groupon offer was for only 1. I then went out to my car, and checked the groupon offer. It said no such thing. It only referenced the package name, which GG's website clearly described as having 2 mags each. I went back in and asked to speak to the manager. "Chris" I believe was his name, came out to talk to me back by the range. He insisted that the same, that the groupon offer was somehow different than what their website offered. I was calm at first, rationalizing that $100 for HALF the experience of the $150 package was NO deal. That there was nothing on their site, or groupons, saying there was any such reduction of the package. When Chris persisted in telling me that their website needed to be updated blah blah, I then got irate. They have trip advisor stickers everywhere, and promote the positive feedback thing vigourously. I let him know I was going to give this review, and alert the BBB to bait and switch. Then he got defensive. "Why do you have to make a scene in my lobby, when I am trying to help you?" he said. FIrst of all, the lobby is in the FRONT, second, it was EMPTY where we were. And THIRD, he had thus far made NO indication that he was "going to help me". The threat of notifying the BBB of bait and switch tactics had apparently convinced him to finally give me what I PAID for, apparently. So yeah, in the end I got my 2nd mags. And they brought out their worst example of the MP5. A real beater. The range hand wanted me to shoot it in semi-auto mode saying it would jam in full. WHAT? I have a suppressed SBR semi I can shoot in my own yard all day. Everyone knows you come for the FULL auto experience. And jam it did. So yeah, they'll likely be disappointed by my review. Getting what I paid for, with a bucketload of drama and grief, does NOT a good experience make. Go to Battlefield Vegas instead. At least they contribute information to the AR community on AR15.com Oh, and the M4? It's a 9mm conversion. If you pay to shoot a real full auto M4, would you really expect to be shooting a weak pistol round? I see that in the 24 hours since my visit, their $150 Machine Gun Experience II on their website has now been downgraded to 1 mag each. Classy folks. You poor NON groupon users are now getting half for full price. |

Sounds like a crappy place to go. Make sure to leave negative feedback on their FB and Yelp pages.
|
|
Why would you go there over a known site users business who has all good reviews?
|
|
I liked that place on East Tropicana that rented me a Thompson SMG.
Had a blast there. |
|
Make sure you leave them the same review on Yelp. Also yea you should have just went straight to BFV instead.

Sorry about the bad experience.
On this board you should be able to find some great people with FA that would let you pull triggers and probably even supply ammo I have a great bunch of friends that i have met on this site and have shot more full auto than i could have ever imagined. And i live in fucking CT. |

that sucks.
I went there probably 5 years ago. got two mags each, uzi, M4, AK and a pistol don't remember what. they were nice, the range girl was smoking hot, and pretty cool. only complaint the barrel on both the AK and M4 were so worn out they were keyholeing at the measly 7 yards. I commented the barrels were shot out she said "oh they're supposed to tumble also I learned I love the Uzi... unexpectedly soft shooting, good rate of fire, easy to control.. |

Proof-read your specials.
Disseminate your specials to the staff. Make sure they know there's a special going on and what it is. This is a great example for why you're better off not running a special at all than running one poorly. |

They can just pay more money to the BBB to get their A+ rating.

Save the drama. You got what you paid for. You were inconvienced, a mistake was made and you got exactly what you wanted. Sounds like they messed up, made it right, and you are pissed and going to share it. Grow up, leave neutral feedback about what happened dispassionately and move on with life.

wow, this place sounds like a real shit hole. Thanks for sharing and to the owner of this establishment if you are reading this, don't screw over your customers through bogus "deals"...that should go without saying, it's a shitty thing to do.

Battelfield Vegas, no contest. Everything else is just a waste of time and money.

I think BFV has a policy that if your gun jams on a magdump you get a new mag or something. |

They have enough shitty reviews that are clearly written that would give me pause before even thinking of going. Though nothing about the experience is overly interesting.

I have always found Groupon to be wishy washy with their deals. Part of the incredible savings is that it's something watered down. Restaurant deals that normally include appetizers are eliminated on the Groupon. While it's a shitty thing that they shorted you, it does not surprise me when you said Groupon

Folks that think BV needs to shill don't go to the tech forums, do they?
One of the owners gives pretty good tech evals of what lasts vs what doesn't. |

Groupon really hoses the conpany theyre working with. I think they take something like 35% of the price and that is on top of the discount the company offers...
That being said, the company needs to know what their special is, how to execute it, and how to work with a customer. 3 mags... sounds like all 3 were 9mm since the m4 was a conversion, so for $15 of cheap ammo they possibly cost themselves the business of at least a few people who will read the review. There are times to fire your customers and there are times when you work with them, and one of the times to eork with them is while employing a Groupon, because most companies that do use Groupon are trying to build a customer base, not make money. |
