From your description it's worth around $750 at the most, less if its an import. They made alot of garands in 44-45 and they are the most common complete rifles around these days. If it were say a SN 200,000 and was %100 correct it would go $1500+ depending on condition.The Garand market is really going crazy right now so anything is possible with prices, you can go over to CULVERS SHOOTING PAGE(JOUSTERS) and post on the collectors forum.

Yep, sounds like a nice shooter. CMP is sending out a couple of hundred of these a week.

www.odcmp.com sells them for $500, but they usually don't have matching anything.

I got a real nice SA made just after the bombing at Pearl.

Paid $525 for mine.  Wonderful rifles.
