Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - M-14 flash hider removal question

Now that the ban will be over soon I would like to put a flash hider om my M1A1 that has the bayonet lug on it.  Is this difficult to do?   How expensive is the FH for the Springfield M1A1.  Thanks!  Dave

Loosen sight screw, undo the crown nut, remove flash hider....


I think there was a guy in SGN that had them for around $40.00, I have no idea on a crown nut tool

You might try Fulton Armory for the crown nut removing tool. Hell, they may have the flash as well. They carry lots of M-14/M1-A parts, tools, and accesories.
