I can recall a few years ago people saying the M-14 was only around a short time, and played a minor role in history prior to the M-16 replacing it.. They can't say that after the last few years of use.

Looks like it has a selector switch so you might not be able to find one to buy and if you did it would be mighty expensive. Neat picture of a great rifle in the field. Neat rails, hey where are the beamz, no beamz ?

I KNOW intellectually that it's a superb battle firearm - but whenever I look at one, it somehow viscerally feels like a Tapco-pimped Garand.

My son uses one at the Naval academy for drill. All the kids have one. There is a steel rod shoved down the barrel and welded and no firing pin.

My original comment was for the inital pic, not yours. I like the AimPoint on a scout mount, and the KAC rail makes it better. But mounting a scope with attachement points at the strip clip guide thing and the front of the reciever has got to make that Leupold flex. |
