In the song [b]Wangsta[/b] by the group 50 CENT,  there is a line as follows:

If you play me close, for sure I'm gonna pop my heat.
Niggas sayin they goin murd' 50, how?
We ridin 'round with guns the size of Lil Bow Wow.
What you know about[red] AK's and AR 15's?
Equipped with night vision, shell catchers and dem things, huh?[/red]

MTV, those overly-liberal pukes, actually muted out the lyrics in [red]red[/red]

aaarrrrgg!! [:(!]

My, my, talk about straining gnats and swallowing camels!

I'm glad that the remaining lyrics were so...nonviolent.

That song is off the 8 MILE soundtrack, so I know the full lyrics. I happened to catch the video of the song on MTV and when I was waiting to hear the mentioned lyrics, the lyrics were silenced/muted out from the video.

They blocked out the first four words of the Weezer song "Hashpipe" on the title caption of the video, so it read "****pipe" [rolleyes]

Thats nothing new from MTV. They've been doing that for years. They bleep out any reference to firearms. They censor all firearms out of videos. If an artist uses their hands to mimic a gun they blur it out of the video but they'll show guys kissing?!

The first video I ever saw on MTV was DIO's "Holy Diver".

Didn't "50 Cent" get pinched this week with a weapons charge?

Funny.

I really don't have a problem with it.  I don't think promoting AR-15's as a drive by weapon of choice to teenagers is a good idea.

I am sorry, but I think you are wrong.

MTV playing music videos?  We all know that doesn't happen.  That hasn't happened years!

You beat me by [i]that[/i] much. I agree. Why do we want millions of people hearing that AR15s and AK47s are the new weapon of choice for gangstas and criminals? I don't.

That is very bad press. Thank you, MTV.

Disclaimer: I don't watch MTV as it sucks and has little to do with music anymore.

There was a point in time when MTV was bucking the PC system. But those days are LONG gone.

I remember staying up to see the world premier of Jump by VH back in '84.

Man, it's hard to believe it was that long ago...

MTV ranks right after the two PMS channels and CNN.  I don't watch those either.

Now MTV's Cribs show focus on their cars.
And all of them have some mighty dark tinted windows. Don't the auto shop have a tint meter?
Isn't too dark tinted windows a motor vehicle violation and warrant a vehicle stop?

Why not "bleep out" the N word too...........

Not that I care, what kind of racial remark you wanna make.

My mother thought me:

"Sticks and stones may break my bones but, words will never hurt me."

I think more people should have learned it too, instead of getting all UPSET over a word.  Then again I'm not into being P.C.

Actually the way teenagers work, they bleep will just encourage them to search out the original source and buy Emimem's album. Mr. Mather's is thanking the execs at MTV for their stupidity.
Once again liberals who think they are doing good work, (censorship), find out the law of un-intended consequences.
