How many songs (hours of music) in MP3 format can fit on a 1 gig usb jump drive?

a few thousand, but it depends on quality, bitrate.

I just did a CD i have 133MB=1h 50min (1.83hours)  that is at 192.

at 196 kbps  I ussually figure aproximately 1.5 megs per minute so a 3 min song is about 4.5 megs.. so if my figureing is correct you should be able to put about 11 hours of music on one gig player
