Mark Warner says he is going to add 600 teachers, and raise the pay for the existing teachers. Sounds good. I think education is only second to protection when it comes to the things we must provide our children. BUT, how is he going to pay for it? He just ran a radio commercial claiming he is opposed to higher taxes and supports budget reform. No new or increased taxes, and he is going to raise teacher salaries and add 600 new teachers? He must be Houdini......

He is lying.  He will raise taxes.  Once sales taxes are 5 or 5.5 percent people like me will no longer drive there from Maryland to do our shopping, hurting your sales taxes even more.

Besides 600 teachers is nothing in a state like Virginia, and itis a sop to the teachers unions who are spending huge amount of cash on his campaign.

Sometimes the voters forget what liars the Democrats are.  Warner will be a good reminder.  Remember Doug Wilder?  People hated him by the time he left office.
