My medic partner had a heart attack last night...[:(] had he waited another hour, he'd be dead.[>Q] In medicaleese his right Ascending Coronary Artery was 100% blocked. He got cathed, sucked out, and has a stent in now. If that doesn't work he'll have to get a bypass. [:O] He'll be transfered to the telemetry floor from CICU within the hour.[^] Let's pile up some "get wells" that I'll print and take to him. thanks, P3[pyro][^][heavy]

Sorry to hear about that. Really scary. Get well soon, partner. "Right Ascending Coronary Artery?" Not so sure about that "medicaleese". You'd better check again.

Hmmmm. Touche'. Ahem. The [u]right[/u] coronary artery... last time I listen to the cathlab nurse and type on two hour's sleep.[rolleyes] He's being discharged today(!). Turns out that since he lives a mile from the hospital and he was in the cath lab withing 10 minutes of hitting the door, his heart didn't get the chance to get more than just severely ischemic - no dead tissue; His troponin level was just barely above normal yesterday morning... Talk about dodging a bullet!! 4-6 weeks of rehab awaits him, then hopefully he'll be back in the saddle. Thanks to all of ya'll who have posted and also those who emailed me off the board.
