Sure enough, these guys are on some kinda Maine to Florida car race. I even helped a guy get an old Plymouth started.
He was just driving. Knows nothing about engines. His carb was flooding, prolly a stuck float. He said "The owner says to tap on the top"
So he was poking around tapping on things with his finger. I asked if he "wiggled the linkage"?
He looked at me like I had two heads. So I moved the linkage back and forth while tapping on the bowl with my pocket knife.
He tried starting it. No good. I asked him "Can I choke it with my hand while you crank"? Cupping my hand over the intake seemed to
give the old beast all it needed to start...
