In a two-hour conversation over coffee at a restaurant near his Virginia headquarters, the former senator from Tennessee said that when he joins the battle next month, he "will take some risks that others are not willing to take, in terms of forcing a dialogue on our entitlement situation, our military situation and what it's going to cost" to assure the nation's future.

About on schedule I would say.

Hunter or Thompson, either way, as long as I don't HAVE to vote for Giuliani I will be happy.

He either needs to announce already or pipe down. Shit or get off the pot, Fred.

For me, it will be either hunter, tancredo or (dare I say it) paul who will, most likely, get my primary vote next year.

Considering its 4 or 8 years in the office, and the other realistic possibilities are so shitty, I'm willing to wait another month to see what Fred decides to do.  For those of you that aren't as patient, Rudy has already announced!

That was an unsubstantiated rumor, that's what happened to that...

On another note, did the rest of you guys who donated early on receive the new mailing, asking for funds for him to run a campaign?

Patience, guys, Patience!

Not everyone is obsessed with the election. Most of Fred's fan base have lives to live. They don't need the drama that some here seem to demand. Fred will announce when Fred's advisor's tell him to announce.

Between now and then, why doens't everyone calm down a bit and focus on something else?

With him holding out, he is receiving a ton of free press, and isnt blowing his campaign money way before the elections.

There is NO rush.

With the possible exception of Fred, all the candidates are scheduled run out of money around April 2008.

What happens then ??   I don't have a clue

He's just another CFR elitist boob. He may spew a different brand of diarrhea than billary, giuliwhoni, or hit-in-the-head-too-many-times-in-'nam mccain or bush-boy, but it is still diarrhea.

Well the primaries will have been over by then, so it's not like any more money will be going to the other candidates.

The real election is really in 6 months.

My patience with Fred has run out. I was all behind him, but he procratenates. I guess I fear he'll be like this when he gets in office. I havent made my mind up fully wether to get behind the Paul-loon (hey, ya gotta love the loon), Hunter, or someone else.

It would be a nice to have a prez who did not remind anyone of poop. Tancredo perhaps.
