Is there any other brand than carhartt's? You can get them anywhere, like Fred Meyers. You may not have them on the East Coast though.

Farmer's Co-op or Farm and home stores often carry a big selection.

Put on some weight and buy the bigger ones.

With a 31" waist you need to look in the girls section - MEN have 34" and above waistlines. (DUCK)

www.gemplers.com has Carhart's. I've ordered from them before and they ship fast.

I think Michael Jackson has little boys pants but probably not Carhart they are verry hard to rip and tear . They are probably some of the best out there.

Those with a 34" waist or larger are easier targets

Damn! 34" is a little on the loose side, to me. And I'm 6'0" 180lbs - hardly a stringbean.

Sears carries Carhart. Usually found in the back of the men's dept.

ETA: Super Shoes has them too

I've got a pair of the Dickies work pants - the brown twill jobs with the ruler cell phone pocket and hammer loop on the legs.

Pretty good wearing - so far, as tough as my 'hartts. Cheaper too.
