This video is quite old, probably 20 years or so.  A prisoner is being tranferred off of a plane by the feds when the father of his victim ambushes him, shooting him point blank in front of the cameras.

Thanks to Loginname for the video link.

was that the one where the dad posed as a phone guy, then when the bad guy was escorted by, he walked up beside him and put one in his melon?

Child molestation case, iirc, and the shooter was the kid's father.

Ogrish is like visiting Hell. The devil does a little dance every time someone logs on there.

With that said, I'd like the link to the video if you find it.

I was looking for that too then I saw it on TV about a month ago!  It happened in Louisiana about 20 years ago.  Dad was pretending to be speaking on a phone in the airport terminal near the gate area. He popped the perv that ruined his son as the bastard was being escorted to a plane to take him away to prison in another state.  As soon as he killed the prick, he dropped his revolver and was smothered by the lawmen.

Dad got off too!

I'd love to see that again myself.

If I remember correctly Dad was charged with involuntary manslaughter pled guilty and was given a 3 month suspended sentence.  I guess they don't like molesters.  I say THANKS TO THAT DAD.  That perv won't be doing any more kids.  Dad had the balls to do what the state should have.

3 month suspended sentance?  They sould have given that dad The Father of the Year Award, Keys to the City, a new car, a life time subscription to Guns & Ammo.......That guy is a true father.  protecting children (his and others) at any cost.

Nowadays they sentence him to death for killing a merely misguided gentle man who was just looking for child companion.

I heard about this incident, the guy did some pretty terrible thing to that kid

I remember the case, he disguised himself as a telephone repairman who was fixing a phone when he spun around and popped the guy in the head. He fell like a bag o' bricks. The story was he was a Karate instructor who brought some students to a weekend retreat. Once there he tied them up beat and raped them (homo rape). As an interesting side note, watch bowling for columbine, Moore plays that video while lamenting all the gun violence! he felt sorry for the murder of a child molester i guess.

Not quite... the guy who was killed, the child molester, was the kids Karate instructor and also the kid's mother's boyfriend.  The guy who shot him was the kid's father, divorced or separated from the kid's mother.

It was on one of the Worlds Most Amazing Videos on Fox not long ago also.

This happened in Baton Rouge, IIRC in 1984.  It was all over the newspapers and local TV stations.  I was in college at the time, and it was surprising, the media wasn't calling this vigilante justice or anything.

I remember that karate school from when I was a kid growing up in Baton Rouge.  It was the best around to hear the people talk.

The video showed the asshole being escorted by plainclothes cops through the airport and the father using the phone.  As the asshole drew abreast of the father he turned and fired point blank into the assholes head, then stood there with the pistol by his side.  The officers knew the father and didn't feel threatened by him.  In fact they didn't draw their weapons IIRC and had a short conversation with the shooter before asking for and recieving his gun.

That was how it should be.

"Jody Plauche’ was the Supervisor of Education for Victim Services Center of
Montgomery County, Inc. in Norristown, PA for 5 years.  Originally from
Baton Rouge, La., Jody made national headlines in March 1984 when he was
abducted by his karate teacher and taken to Los Angeles, Ca.  FBI officials
rescued Jody and his abductor was arrested.  Upon his karate teacher’s return
to Baton Rouge, La., Jody’s father, Gary Plauche’, in front of a local television
camera, shot and killed the man who kidnapped and sexually molested his
son.  The sexual abuse had occurred for a period of more than one year."

The officer escorting the perp was a sheriff's
deputy in Baton Rouge. He seemed to know the father-(shooter).
When the victim went down, the deputy reached for his
revolver in it's ankle holster. I think I recall him  yelling
at the shooter to drop his gun.
The deputy used to serve as security at the big Baton Rouge
gun show, so a lot of folks knew him. The first show following
the shooting, I noticed several guys going up to speak to him.

We're going to see a lot more of that kind of thing if the fucking authorities keep treating the child rapists with kid gloves.

Surrender of the individual retribution right is part of our social contract, but it is conditioned in my view on a working justice system, and so long as that system fails or refuses to acknowledge that these guys CANNOT be cured, rehabilitated or made safe, its only a matter of time until squads of vigilantes take matters into their own hands and start executing the bad ones.

It depends what you mean by "got off". He plead guilty to manslaughter and under a plea agreement he received a term of probation as his sentence.

"A good shot" More like a lucky shot. He could have easily killed the FBI agent or LA LEO instead of the dirt bag.

That is a very edited version.
Note how fast the escort officer gets to
the shooter....Didn't happen nearly that quickly.
The officer struggled with his ankle holster,
identified the shooter, and spent a moment or two with
the victim before he went over to where the shooter was
standing. This video compresses that.

The cameraman was incredibly composed throughout.  He kept the camera steady even with a headshot happening a few feet away, with the weapon pointed in his direction.

I think the father must have been a skilled shooter.  He only fired once and with a sure and steady hand.

When you think of it, most people in his situation would have fired multiple shots to ensure the pedophile's death.  The father would only get one chance to do what he did.

That was an honorable killing. I'm glad the jury let him walk a mostly free man.

Every parent should have the right to shoot their children's molesters point blank in the back of  the head. We'd have less of a child molestation problem in this country. Personally I'd rather slowly garrote them with some stranded picture wire and a dowel. I'd need some earplugs, and I might go home afterwards and throw up, but I'd get a peaceful nights sleep.

One problem with the justice system today is they would spare no expense to go after the killer of a child molester, but bitch and moan about the money and time involved in prosecuting the child molester in the first place.
