Don't send your kids to summer camp, unless you hate them, it's punishment.  My parents sent me to summer camp, I fully intend to get back at them when they are old and feeble:

"Hey mom I'm getting sick of you, I'm going to put you in the nursing home for a few weeks to get you out of my hair"

"But those nursing homes are horrible, the food is bad, you're stuck with people you don't like, the bathrooms are dirty, and the staff is always telling you what to do."

"Hah hah, mom.  That's the same thing I said about summer camp years ago and you sent me anyway.  Now get in the damn car."
