So they improved the trigger? My dad has a 1st gen LCP, and the trigger sucks.

For some strange reason I would love to see if the LCP can be had with a threaded barrel and suppress that little shit. I've always wanted to have a suppressed 380.

You live in Iowa, just go out in between cornfields andtry it out...
BTW how small is it? Small enough to keep in the palm? |
I'm looking forward to hearing how it shoots. I want to replace my first gen, with a II. Also, I didn't know they were on the market yet. Thanks |

Does it come with a flat magazine floorplate option?
I don't like hooks on the end of my CCW pistols; whether they help with the grip or not. |
I have a Ruger LCP Custom, I looked at the LCP 2. I like the custom better. But both are great pocket guns.

View Quote I saw a flat mag butt replacement in his box when he had it out cleaning it. Only comes with one mag though and mags are tough to find atm. Our lgs had 1 more and he grabbed it too. |

Like the look of the textured grip, but will the LCP 2 take gen 1 mags?

Been carrying my P3AT for the last ten years. I can't see moving on because it works..and the rust spots and wear adds character.
Do the sights and trigger still suck? Because the gen 1's are the worst in the industry, IMO.
Looks nice. Do you have another pistol you could photograph it with for some size comparison? Trigger feel like a Glock/M&P/Wather or something different?
Nice. Been meaning to upgrade from the old P3AT for years, I will have to see if the LGS has one I can lay hands on.

My brother bought one a day or two ago and after firing it, immediately sold his two gen1 lcp's - a normal lcp and an lcp custom. He says it's a huge improvement over the previous generation.
Apparently the lcp2 is 300 and the normal lcp price is now 250. |
I wanted one, decided on a shield instead but I still want one.
Congrats. |

I just traded my Beretta Pico for an LCP 2 and fired 250 flawless rounds with it. No pain whatsoever. Much better than the original LCP and much better than the Pico. It shoots almost like a Glock 42.

I am curious to how it shoots. I have a LCP 1 that I bought at the fairgrounds gun show a couple years ago for cheap on sale. The trigger sucks but it has been a great little pocket gun. My only complaint other than how loud it is, is how low it shoots. All targets are a nice little group. But neck high on a man size target is center mass.

Flat and hooked. The trigger guard appears larger also and was wondering if my Crimson Trace laser will fit on gen.II ????? |

Coworker just brought one into work tonight. The trigger pull is extremely nice and crisp. I was turned off on the first generation ones. The new ones have very nice triggers.
Great size comparison pics. Might have to get one. Let us know how it shoots for you.
Does it have a little tiny pin that you pull before throwing it?
I like my custom with the anodized, skeletized tigger. Great little pistol. |
how does it compare in size to the original LCP. I've been putting off getting an LCP since I got my Shield but I still want one.
What the hell is with the grip-zone...
Also, is the takedown pin different? |

There are various product improvements generations of the original LCP. For example: taller sights (machined into the slide, but not as tall as on the lcp 2), more forward trigger with shorter lop, upgrade mag release from plastic to metal etc. The latest trigger is not as bad as people who only have tried the older versions would make you believe.
I like my lcp 1. That's a much better looking pistol.
Might pick one op someday. I like having a .380 in my pocket. Txl |
Congrats OP..
I looked at these awhile ago....damn they are fucking small..too small for my manly hands. |

Is it easier to rack the slide? View Quote It seemed to me it was, but admittedly I did not shoot his custom model a lot. I was not a fan of it tbh, but this one to me seemed better. I still do not prefer anything that small though. The LC9's I use as back up is as small as I am comfortable with, but we are going shooting Saturday so he will have a full AAR. I will probably shoot a mag through it myself. |
I haven't seen him in years, but one of my coworkers had an awesome LCP. Then again, everything was polished in by the couple thousand rounds he put in it over a summer
But the LCPII looks like it'll sell and shoot good. We wait for a range report OP |
