Web surfing minus anything with porno, cleaning the guns (not at work), reading, unintentionally lightly sleeping, walking around, map reading, dreaming, thinking about future purchases, prepping brass, mp3s, sometimes cook, practice clearing the room, and other assorted goodies.

Daydream. Watch the clock. Take up smoking for the cigarette breaks. Drink lots of water so you have to take a leak every 30 minutes.
It's not so bad when there's actually something to do. The worst jobs are the ones where you "have to look busy" (even if there's nothing to do) to keep the boss from yelling at you. |
