Wonder how many times that old fool got away with that trick.....   he sure didn't look to concerned.....

Well, his housing, health care and food concerns has been solved.

I agree... it looks like he had done this many times........ how he did not know the cameras were there is amazing.... he was a regular customer from what I heard.

The guy did look like he was having second thoughts about stealing it.  Seemed ready to immediately pocket it, but then played around with it a bit contemplating before eventually pocketing it and walking out.

Pretty stupid to do in a store you frequent.  Cameras can be everywhere but unless someone can recognize your face they aren't going to catch you.  LGS I worked at had an O/U shotgun disappear off the floor display.  Security cameras showed some old guy with crutches hobble in, cut the security tags/wire and shove both halves of the shotgun down his pant leg.  Then hobble straight out the front door.

Nobody recognized the guy, but he must have been in the store once before to case it out.  He seemed to know exactly what he was looking for and had a plan.

Not surprised.
