Am I the only one setting here watching the second hurricane lately with the idiot reporters standing in the middle of it and waiting for a sheet of plywood or the odd chunk of building material to come flying by and zap one of these reporters????

That'd be great! I would pay to see it.

What amazes me is how none of them have lost an eye yet. I have yet to see one with any sort of eye protection.

It's so stupid, like it's any different from their last report at a hurricane.

From what ive seen, when the reporters check the wind speed its a whooping 28 mph when they are standing out there, really killer huh

.... Kinda reminds me of the JetBlue landing gear incident a few nights ago.

... After the fiery, dramatic but safe landing on live TV, the first thing all those support people did was run underneath the fuselage to look at the systems.

... The first thing in my mind was that the gear was still severely compromised and its collapse imminent. The fuselage was not chocked with a tug yet and I could just see it - Live on national TV, 100+ passengers safe, but ground crew crushed to death upon the gear's collapse.

... Someone else noticed this about the same time I did and obviously cleared those folks out of there immediately following.

I have seen footage of many a reporter coming very close to eating it. However there is most always a string of profanities that follows, and thus it is not seen on the air.
