Fight4yourrights is good for one.

Anyone have experience with the composite Cav Arms lower?  Injection molded with glass isn't that impact resistant.  Even the long strand glass they use is pretty short and acts more like a filler.

That's the part that worries me.

At least they do provide a good warranty.

I sure hope we can pull this off. Keeping the cost down, I like that. The special sn #, forget it if it adds to the cost. Great idea, I know it will take some work but we will have alot of happy campers on the board. [beer]

I would be a maybe. Brother lives in Texas so I may go in with him if the price is in the ballpark discussed. Thanks

Please add me to the Maybe list.  Once we get the config. straight, I will jump to the YES list.

Thanks,

I have 2 maybes here.

1 is me, which is actually a most likely.

1 is a co-worker.  Wants to know final cost.

Add me to the maybe list.  It depends on the final config.  I vote for an all bushy M4gery.
Link Posted: 2/14/2001 9:22:40 AM EDT
[#9]
If the price is at the $540 listed or close for a Bushmaster shorty or M4gery I'll take one.  I am not really interested in the plastic lower configuration however.

****** I am more concerned with configuration than exact price.   I will end up buying a shorty AR of some configuration in the future anyway, it would be great if it could be a good deal and identified with this group! ******

Count me in as a maybe.  What I'm really looking for is a 24" V-Match, but at least this way I'll have the lower and just need another upper.

Grin&Barrett,

You should put me on the maybe list due to the price and final configuration. I have the money to buy a Bushmaster at $531.00, but if the price goes above that by a lot I might not be able to afford it. As I stated in another thread I am not interested in either a mixed parts gun, or a something that I could buy at any gun shop (it should have something unique about it, like special serial numbers, or the site's logo even if it means a increase in price). As for if the rifle is a sixteen inch carbine, a 20 inch HBAR, or a M4, I have cast my vote, but I will go with the group's decision.

Kyle

Add to me to the maybe list, depends on the final configuration that is agreed to. I am not interested in a 20" model or mixed upper/lower. Thanks to all involved.

G&B- Can you please switch me to the "maybe" list? I am really interested, but being a college student, I don't know if I will be able to afford it. I will be able to tell you for sure as soon as you guys are ready to make an order.

Thanks!

Please put me on the "maybe" list until we know for sure how much and what the config will be.  I would be more interested in an all Bushy gun in 20 inch but would not rule out others if the price is right.

Please add me to the "maybe" list.

I'd be more interested in a single manufacturer with special serial # rather than a parts mix-n-match - even if it is a bit more expensive.

... that being said, I'd most likely STILL be interested in any mix-n-match with a very reasonable price.

Thanks for organizing this!

If the price is anywhere close to the $531 listed in the other thread, I'm in for sure.  I prefer the M4 configuration, but I could be talked into another lightweight model.  I have two 20" HBAR's, so I'm not interested in going that route.

BTW, I really think the special serial number series is a SUPER idea.  Even if it's a few bucks more, it would add a special flavor to the rifles.

If we get to 100 rifles we can get the custom serial numbers at no charge   AR15.com 001 thru AR15.com 100

Just a thought on the serial number thing.  There was also talk of possibly having the logo put on the receiver.  I would think this would be a much costlier option due to having the die made.  They are going to use some combination of letters and numbers for a serial number anyway.  I would think it would be cheaper to have the serial number specific.  It is more of an issue of them having to mess around to accomidate that then having anything new made.

Just my thoughts on the issue.

Put me down for two maybe's.  My friend & I are going to a H&K Tactical medic course and they offer a "special price" on a H&K firearm!  Don't know how much or on what weapons.  I will probably only be able to get one or the other.  My rich buddie will probably get both knowing him! Lucky bastage.  Would prefer Bushie with special logo/serial #'s.  Hope this goes thru...
Sounds like a good chance for us AR15.com'ers to get a unique rifle at a fair price.   Thanx Tim

$500.00 ~ $600.00 Bushmaster with AR15.com serial #'s .... definately YES if it's all Bushmaster and I don't care about barrel length. This will make a great 1st Bushmaster for my AR collection. M4gery would be REALLY nice though.    --- Les

The Serial # at no charge is from Cavalry Arms.

Nobody manufacturers all of their own parts, so there might be a case for using all Bushmaster parts & Cav Arms lower receivers to create a unique rifle.   Will depend upon the price we can get from Bushmaster for putting together a "unique" rifle.

We will talk to Bushmaster today about special ser# & a up charge if any.

If this goes through we (Castle Arms) may purchase a few extras for people like lordtrader to buy later when their circumstances change.   Being in IL near St Louis would let us distribute some through midwestern gun shows or at AR15.com shoots like TBRS provided we can get a fellow FFL to work with us.

Its SCAR I do not want 4 riffles. I want 1 if they are complete and 4 stripped lowers if thats the way we go. I also say if we go complete guns then we get something in writeing from Bushmaster say that there will be be no more runs with our logo on them. And We need to get a certifacate of Autenication from them saying that this is a true AR15.com gun. This may help in the resale and colectors market.

Saw a CAV-15 at the last gunshow that I went to and I still would prefer Bushmaster quality.

Getting a CAV-15 in the future however is not totally out of the question.

my .02 worth

If it is an all Bushmaster rifle, put me in for 1 20" A2 for less than $550.00

Preferences:

Definitely - 16" carbine flattop - HBAR or fluted HBAR (fluted preferable).  Also definately if I can get the same in a 20".

Maybe - M4

Thanks,

Tate
