I need some new, lightweight work pants.  I've been wearing a few pair of LA Police Gear's bdu's but they are shit.  The zippers are atrocious and the crotch keeps blowing out.

I was thinking of getting a few pair of Tru-specs 24/7 lightweights as I've worn the heavier canvas versions and loved them. However, I'm open to other suggestions, as I'd rather not pay $40/pair if possible.

Anyone make an affordable pair of ripstop BDUs or something similar?

ETA: I work for CSX in one our locomotive shops, so lots of stooping and bending, dirty/heavy parts, no A/C, etc.

Wearing shorts now, getting ready to go down in the crawlspace to replace a few sillcocks.  Dreading putting on long pants.
