Under cross examination by William Boyce QC, the defendant admitted lying to the police about his movements after the shooting. Don't lie to the police. It looks REALLY bad in court. |

I just have to interject here:
Handgun posession in England is a felony. This appears to be one criminal killing, for whatever reason, two others. I am not at all surprised by the conviction given the above. Right, wrong, or indifferent, he had no chance. In that society, killing - especially with a firearm - is severely frowned upon, no matter what the reason. They're more than a little weird about it. |

My read on it was pretty close. Some dirty dealing in which a participant didn't want to play anymore, and some kneebreakers came after him. Then he shot them. |

If that were me, over there, I would have taken the first hot ticket to the farthest- away non-extradition treaty country. Life on the lamb can't be all that bad. Can it?
