I am currently in high school in one of the most liberal/non free area's of the country. It is driving me nuts. So I am wondering who else here has stories of their liberal teachers. My story is here.http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=1143758

My eldest daughter's middle school class had a bring-your-parent-to-school-and-explain-their-job day. I was a uniformed police officer.

I came into the classroom in uniform (with my Dept.'s and DARE Officer's blessings), and my daughter was about a minute into explaining what I did for a living when the teacher stood up, walked over to me and told me to go put my "service revolver" (a Colt 1911!) in my car, as the school was a Gun-Free Zone.

She said it quietly enough that the kids couldn't hear it, and I whispered back: "I'm not allowed to be in my Dept.'s uniform and unarmed, Ma'am."

She was now quietly furious, and told me to leave the classroom immediately if I wasn't going to get rid of that evil gun. The kids could hear this, and my daughter looked like she was about ready to cry.

I left the classroom with my daughter in tow, and went to the Principal's office. I explained the situation and conduct of the teacher....and noticed the Principal not only had the President's portrait (GHWB at the time) on his wall, but also had autographed pics of Audie Murphy, Jack Webb and (get this) Tom Selleck.

He led us back to the classroom, where he re-introduced me to the class, and said this was the safest classroom in the whole school since a Police Officer was present. He explained why we carried guns, and mentioned all the training we had to go through to do so.

He then turned it back over to my daughter, and we were done in about ten minutes. The teacher was mute until I left, when she thanked me for coming.

I stopped by the Principal's office on my way out. He walked with me to my patrol car, ogled the racked 870 and radio, asked how I liked the 1911, as he liked Colt revolvers.

Then he leaned closely into me with this dark, conspiratorial voice and said: "She's a Communist. Really. We had to make her take down posters of Che Guevara and Marx. Her husband is an ex-member of Students For Democratic Society. She wore an Anarchy tee shirt to Parent Conference night once. No kidding."

We had my daughter moved to another teacher's classroom for that Social Studies class. I have little doubt that teacher is still teaching, somewhere in CA.

Three years ago, I was in a 101 level sociology class.

This prof starts in the first day with a rant about the evil President we have(GWB) and then he basically did tons of argumentations, and that was the entire class.  He asked people for extra credit to bring in crash test results, and he told me to my face my dad's Chevy Silverado was unsafe and apparently he must not care about my safety or anyone else's.

To illustrate how horrible the "evil Republicans" were he made us watch "30 Days" with Morgan Spurlock where he and his wife/girlfriend/fiance? lived in a dumpy apartment in Columbus, Ohio.

For a paper on the fallacies of going to war we had to watch Fahrenheit 9/11.

Thankfully he decided to quit teaching mid-semester, and we had to just turn in papers the rest of the term.  IIRC, we didn't even have to take a final.

My political philosophy teacher said on the first day that he was a communist, that people who shop at wal-mart should not be able to vote and should be shot. He said he was going to start his own religion with lots of naked dancing and drug use... He also said it should be legal to pick a baby out at birth to choose to mate with when they turn 18.

Mind you, I went to a pretty conservative college here in East Texas. The whole class made fun of him.

I had a professor in college who was a hard line socialist and thought that nice, tasty ice cream came out of FDR's asshole.

I never hated a son of a bitch so much in my life.

Had to sit there through a whole semester literally biting my tongue - but I was not always successful, so by the end of the semester he hated me too.

Had a hardcore extreme feminist as a professor at my school. She believed that political correctness was "absolutely necessary to ensure social justice" (well, not verbatim, but not like I listened half the time anyway), and balked at the idea of national borders. Also promoted Aztlan and the Reconquista. For those who are unfamiliar with these concepts, it basically boils down to the idea that the American Southwest was stolen and should be reclaimed. I'm so sure that if that ever happened we'd be welcome on their side of the border that, according to her, shouldn't exist in the first place

Oh well. Got credit for the class - I suppose that's all that matters now that I've graduated.

marketing teacher verbally blowing obama before the election back in 2008. I put little potshots in now and then, until she blamed booosh for the whole mortgage crisis. I said out loud that it started with the clinton administration getting banks to accept bad loans. She claimed she'd never heard of such blasphemy of ole slick, so I pulled up news articles in class. In HS one of the Asst principals was a full fledged member of La Raza. She was a lock, stock and barrel believer in the Reconquista movement, the head of Mecha (Mexican student group) and easily one of the most racist people I have ever met.

If you were brown, you could do no wrong, if you were white (or black) you were screwed.

Had a poly sci professor in college that was a serious moonbat, yet for some reason she loved me. She disagreed with my beliefs but really loved debating me. Couple of times I thought for sure I was gonna get booted from the class, but she kept me around.

My social studies teacher on Clark Air Base was a radical Feminist about 1980, during the ERA days.  She used to assign projects to her students, maybe 100 or so, that dealt with a 3' section of books on the bookshelf every week or so.  She used to crack Feminist jokes about men noone laughed at.

In High School about 1982 , the gov't teacher was a flaming liberal.  Lots of little digs at conservatives and praise of liberals.  He talked about one PTA meeting where some woman said, "The government teacher is a communist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", and he thought, "O'Thuse is a communist?"  The woman stood up, pointed a finger at him, and said "Him!  That's him right there!"

Examples?  No, too long ago.

I had a New England Pinko trying to teach Keynsian Economics to us in High School.  We'd grown up watching the horror of Carter and then the power of private enterprise when Regan unchained it a bit.

Needless to say we were a frustrating class for Mr. Gillespie.  He reppeatedly put it down to our not "caring" or "understanding" because all of our parents had two cars and most had a farm.

It was kind of sad.  He tried to preach price fixing for critical goods just a few years after Regan ended the Carter Gas lines.  Nope.  Not buyin it.

My buddy is a huge conservative and doesn't keep his mouth shut. His freshman poli sci professor was some left leaning, anti war, anti US nutjob of course they clashed. Apparently he didn't realize that professors get pissed when you don't agree with their views. She tried to get him kicked out of college for some "plagiarism" violation.  Instead she got in trouble and he transferred to a MUCH better college where the professors are much more in line with his political views. It was probably the best thing that ever happened to him.

ETA: I know what you are saying about all the fucking lefties in NY. I grew up in suffolk county. Now looking back after being out of high school for almost ten years you realize that most are fucking idiots. The only reason that anyone listens to them is cause they are older and standing in front of the class.

No offense to the few good high school teachers but if it wasn't for the unions they wouldn't be able to hold onto their job. My mom is friends with many of my former teachers. Whenever their is a family party quite a few local teachers come and it's always fun listening to their retarded political stances.

Well, he in fact did do that.
It was not entirely his fault, as there had been a mental health rights movement that had been trying to deinstitutionalize mental health care for some time prior to Reagans actions. Closing a bunch of mental facilities went along nicely with Reagans desire to shrink gov't.

Awesome principal though.  Too bad he couldn't get rid of the useless teacher.

In all my public school years I've never had a rabidly liberal teacher (openly).  I've had teachers that I've assumed were liberal, but not one that ever tried to brainwash the students or spout any BS.  I have had some awesome conservative teachers too.  Our Social Studies department in HS was almost entirely men and most were conservatives.  During my senior year my History Seminar teacher worked with Representative Platts to organize a private class interview with Justice Scalia in DC.  Awesome experience... If I'd known the Heller case was coming up soon after I would have thanked him in advance .

I did have one college professor who had us go to a "School of the Americas Watch" presentation, which I wasn't too wild about.  However, I talked to her later and discussed the fact that I was interested in the military after college... she quietly pulled me aside and told me that in general, her academic colleagues were "gutless" and none compared to her husband, who was a Navy vet.

ETA: As an accounting major, I've had plenty of business profs that were conservative and were very good at defending their positions as experts in economics and finance.  They had some good debates with the liberals in class about taxation and "stimulus."

Had an English 101 teacher that was a flaming lib.  Nice enough guy, just a bit to the right of Mao.

Kept telling us how women were safer in Islamic countries than the US because the number of rape cases were so much lower.  When I asked if it were possible that the number of rape cases were lower was due to under-reporting out of fear of being stoned to death for allowing someone to rape them, we quickly moved on.

One day on the subject of a paper we were to write, he mentioned how the Right Hand of God was good, and the Left Hand of God was evil (or something to that effect).  I couldn't help myself:  "Is that why Republicans are considered right-wing, and Democrats are considered left-wing?"  Crickets chirping for about a minute before we "moved on."

In the interest of fairness and disclosure, I must add that the public schools I attended during the 60s and 70s in central CA had teachers that may well have had a political bent one direction or another, but I cannot recall any that allowed it to impact their teaching.

In fact, I was a high school junior during the 1976 elections, and my government teacher absolutely would not reveal her choices or votes, despite our haranguing her over it.

Which, is how things should be anyway.

Day 1 libtard asshole rant with people trying to discuss his views

Day 2 libtard asshole rant with agression towards anyone who had a different view.

Day 3 most of us told him to go fuck himself and we marched over to the officer building and all demanded our money back for the class. Literally like 10-12 of us.

Day 4 I had a credit on my card for the class and had free time to take a nap during that time.

A couple of weeks later I walked past that class while in session and of the original 30+ people there couldnt have been more than a half dozen core libtards lapping up his bullshit like he was their holy one.

Dispite my very well written papers(I went to several differant editors and the writing tutoring lab at least once or twice each paper) , I never got better than a C on them, compared to the same papers other students were turning in mine were gold. got a C- for the class. found out later than he was apparently at Kent State throwing rocks back in the day.

I once heard a presentation from our University's Women's Center about "sexist oppression" during which one of the presenters said that the word "history" was sexist. Immediately about three our four hands shot up to say the same thing - it's not because it's from Greek, etc. etc. Almost all of them were women who I suppose didn't like some lesbian making them look stupid by association.

I feel confident in saying that most of my professors keep their politics outside the classroom. However I did have one Geography prof who was quoted in the local paper as saying that after 9/11 "we have become the terrorists."

Had a history teacher in Jr. High say that he didn't need a gun in his home because he had a nine iron

Had another history teacher in college that said that Blackwater was one of the scariest organizations in the U.S. and one of the most well funded. He said that they were a danger to this country being so close to Washington, and that if they wanted to, they could take over.

Had a very liberal psych teacher that stated that he didn't care if people stole any of his property because if they were going through all that trouble for it, they must need it more than he does.
