This. I always seem to see guns that are overpriced for their condition.

Nice 1911, OP. I'd love to own a classic like that. I'd shoot it, too!

Not a pawn shop but picked this up for $100 OTD at a gunshop a couple years ago.

Sold it shortly after for a few hundred.

Still have a box of .32acp for it, so if anyone stops through my town and wants it let me know.

Can't post pics, but back in 1998, I bought a Chinese preban Type 56 AK that was wrongly tagged as an SKS for $195.  I still have that gem today!

Thanks!  I couldn't believe it.  Came with an original magazine as well.  I haven't shot it, maybe I should.

Very nice!
No pics but my last 3 revolvers were bought at pawn shops. A '59 Colt DS, a S&W 649-1 and a 60-7. I love pawn shopping. Oh, and various pieces of gold and silver coins and jewelry.

What caliber?  How long ago?

Awesome deal. I got a .44 Redhawk a few months ago for $500 and thought that was kick ass.

Thanks.  I think I did well on them, $875 for the pair.  The shop owner thought they had been refinished based on their color, but I don't see any evidence of that on them.  I think he believed they should have been more of the greenish color like on Smith Victory models.

You did great, even if refinished. I would show the pic over at Colt forums. They would most likely give you a definitive answer.
I've been jonesin' for a 4" Army Special ever since I fondled one at a pawn shop. Only thing, it was pretty beat up and it had a non-factory crane screw. They wanted 600 bucks for it and wouldn't budge on price.
Your Commandos are giving me the itch again.
