IPad mini vs the world Your ball, GD. ![]() View Quote iPads are Okay, just overpriced for what they do. When I was looking at iPads, I ended up with an android tablet that has been amazing for 3 years so far. And it cost exactly half of what the iPhad did for the same features and specs. |

Screw Apple shit. I love my Windows Tablet that allows me to do what I want and install what I want instead of restricted like all the Apple shit. Plus they are new technology than the 3 year or technology that apple is using. Now do not ask me about the apple airport that are behind technology by 5 years yet apple fanboys say they are the greatest shit around yet they are still stuck at a limit of 100mbs while everyone else is at 1,000mbs. So easy to make stable products when you are not up on Technology.

You know, like how a luxury car doesn't have to be the fastest car on the lot....it's just the most polished. I have a macbook pro, and for what I do it is more than enough computer. It's been a damn good one at that. However I've built IBMs and I use android for my phone. I see the value in all tech, but for a laptop I have to say that I'm mac all the way. |

I love my iPad Air 2. Much nicer carrying that around at work instead of the laptop I used to take with me in the truck.

When I decided to get a tablet I almost got an iPad. I got a surface 2 instead. The RT version, not the pro version.
I chose that one because it came with office (rt version) already installed. I use it for everything. Granted the apps aren't that great, but I just go to the site. I use excel for my budgeting, word for documents. It has one note, which I find invaluable, and one drive, so I can access stuff seamlessly between my computer and my surface. And my phone. Cause I have excel, word, and one note on my phone. I have a card, so I can store music and photos. There is a usb slot, so I can swap documents and stuff I make at work. Obviously I have the keyboard. The RT versions are not really supported anymore but my surface still does everything it did when I got it. I intend to get whatever surface pro is out when this one bites the dust. I also have an LG tablet that was a promotional when I got my phone. Still better than my iphone that I started out with, which is nothing more than a small iPad. I don't get the iPad love but whatever. |

I use an iphone, but not a fan of apple and went a different direction with tablets. Acer Iconia 8 android for goofing around. Mainly used in the car on road trips for waze and pandora (tethered to my iphone ![]() Dell Venue 8 Win 8.1. Mainly used for tuning, logging, and diag on cars. In other words, get both ![]() |

It's not hate. Other things are just better, especially considering the cost.

iPad Air 2.
If I had the money I'd replace it with the iPad Pro 9.7" Damn near the perfect form factor. Cellular connectivity. I want a surface just to have one but the iPad definitely takes the cake when it comes to tablet use for me. |

Surface Pro > Samsung Galaxy S2 > a yard full of rotten festering dog shit > anything made by Apple

Sony Z4
2k resolution on a 10.1 screen waterproof can be used as ps4 remote only weighs 389gr |

Tablets are a sign of a decaying and degenerate civilization
Kids aren't even learning to touch type properly on a keyboard anymore, they're just swiping and talking to Google. |

I had to buy an Ipad a couple years ago. I don't even know the last time it was used. One of the biggest wastes of money I've had recently.

I'm moving in the open source direction, but some people will never understand why Apple is so popular. It works exactly how you expect it to work every time. And for an EDC device, thats pretty fucking handy, imo. |

I like my Kindle Fire 7 Inch tablet when talking about small tablets. Just the right side for reading, but enough umph for watching streaming video. Only screwy quirk, is that the Facebook app keeps crashing, but it is getting rather old at this point.

I've got an ipad mini (4 i think?). I use it for most surfing, videos, etc. It's a lovely entertainment device. If it had upgrade-able memory and a replaceable battery it'd be perfect -- for entertainment. For work, I need a real keyboard and mouse. Maybe it'll be possible to replace those functions on a tablet someday, in a way that's at least as if not more efficient. So far, the user interface that can accomplish that doesn't exist. It'll be an exciting day when someone figure it out. |

I have a challenge for all of you iPad owners:
Say you have a movie that you downloaded to your laptop that you want to watch on the airplane. It is an MKV video format. You're sitting in a hotel. Get it on to your precious iPad. GO! Here is what you need to do that: iTunes account just to get your stupid iPad to connect to the internet. Internet access either hotel WiFi or Cellular if you have a cellular iPad. A Dropbox account to trick your iPad into downloading a "forbidden" video file that isn't Apple's blessed MP4 format. Some video player that'll play that file format. Room in your dropbox account. Time required to upload it to your Dropbox account. Time required to download it to your iPad. Hopefully you can decode the video file. Alternatively, an Android tablet: Connect the tablet to your laptop via USB. Tablet shows up like a USB drive on your laptop (Mac or PC). Copy movie. Done. MKV plays with any video player on the Android. Tell me again how Apple products are better? Because they make you jump through 10 hoops to do the same thing done effortlessly on an Android device? Makes senss. |

I like apple products because they work flawlessly on their own or with multiple products seemlessly work together. Androids just don't have the refinement that apple products do.
