Doubt they are for real.

Of course all Dems are liberal to the extreme, and none of them own guns, silly.

Even if it is legit, the Left will never have a progun or prolife canidate for higher office.  Sounds like a waste of time to me.

The Alaska state rep who proposed the no-license concealed carry ordinance in AK is a Democrat.  He said he supported all of the Bill of Rights.

Got to listen to him at the Gun Rights Policy Conference a couple of years ago.

There are some Dems out there that aren't completely wacky, not a lot, but some.

Actually i'd like a place where I can escape from retarded Republicans once and a while. Being able to talk firearms with like minded people (Instead of those who hate me) would be nice.

I'm sure they're sincere, but the people who run that insane fucking party won't listen to a word they say.

ETA: About guns.

Whoever they are rest assured their party does everything to marginalize them.

Ok, tell your party to stop:
1) Trying to tax away our, and by our I mean hard-working Americans (i.e. Conservatives), money for baseless social programs that only add to the problems they are meant to solve.
2) Destroying our countries business base with socialist unions,
3) Welcoming illegal immigrants with open arms, hospitals, schools and public coffers,
4) Giving minorities more rights and privileges than white males,
and
5) Trying to legislate from the judicial bench,
and you might not be hated so much.

I would n ot believe them.  Some earlier posters have more ably debated whether or not they are honest in their motives.  I look at it this way, no Democrat is your friend.  Not because some Democrats might be sensible, but because they support the Democrat party.  We coud think of the most ideal candidate for President of the US on the Democrat ticket.  No idea who that might be, but let's just assume the theoretical ideal.  The trouble is, that person would have other Democrat functionaries in office.,  THEY are the real problem,  Leftist ideals would be implemented on the middle and lower levels, affecting us practically and directly.  There's the problem with electing Democrats.  I'm sure there are good ones, but the bad ones will be as vermin in the woodwork.

The person behind that site is a regular over at DU if I remember right, open up the address and the front page is a tribute to Cindy Sheehan, that about says it all right there.

I will add though that from what I have read over there in their gun rights forum that there are so DUers that are strong RKBA supporters but it is still DU on the rest of the issues.

Zell Miller is about the only Dem that I would vote for and unfortunately I think he signed his fate with the Democrap party when he made that damn-fine speech at the RNC.

No dem. can be pro gun on a national level. Dick Durbin was PRO-life until he became a senator. You just can't get funding for campaigns if you don't walk the party line.

We're talking about the national stage.  Democrats here are as anti-gun as politicians are anti-farming in Iowa.

Sean Penn?

The problem is, you can have a pro gun Democrat, but once he gets to higher office I'll bet money that he changes his tune to suit the parties position.  This has been seen time and again with "pro life" Democrats.  You have to keep the soccer moms happy you know.
