Left hand shooters in the movies!

Why are there so many left hand shooters in the movies? They they just dumb actors that pull the guns up the wrong way? Has anybody else noticed this in movies?

Now that I bring it up I can't find to many pictures, but still I watch alot of movies and I notice so many lefty shooters! I only know one lefty first hand, I find it hard to believe that so many left handed actors.

Anybody have anything to say on why this is?

I think its so you can see the actor more than the gun.

In Die hard, he held that Beretta with BOTH hands, watch it again, he goes back and forth. When he's going to grab a doorknob, etc, he will simply switch.
I suspect many actors do the same. To you, it feels "correct" when you're holding it with your dominant hand, to someone who just picked ut up, it feels foreign either way.

But they still have to shoot it, why shoot lefty when it would feel funny because you would be right hand domonent. If you have ever shot a long gun lefty it feels very funny to line the sights up and stuff. Well I think it does.

There are a lot of left handed actors. There are a lot of actors that do not know how to shoot a gun and will shoot with either hand.

Both Bruce and Anglina are left handed.

Yep, Christian Slater is a lefty. Actually there's lots; Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves, Redford, DeNiro, Steve McQueen, Mickey Rourke, Matt Dillon, etc., etc. Not sure how they all shoot .

It has NOTHING to do with which hand is dominant.

It has EVERTHING to do with how the weapon looks in the shot.

Period.

The nuns at my sisters school use to smack her when she used her left hand

Now they are (nearly) all dead. And I'm still using my left hand.

just out on a limb here but are more actors writers whatever type of artists leftys?
I though left handed people used more of their right brian the creative side

Bruce Willis is left handed. Watch Tears of the Sun. I promise you he shoots as a hobby. Will Smith does to, though I don't know if he is left handed or not.

Curise and DeNiro are not left handed.

There are a lot of left handed actors, and there is even a website that lists left handed actors however there are a few right handed actors on the list.

ETA.....Yeah I know I have WAY TOO much time on my hands.
