meh.
halflife was awesome, HL2 was good, but really everything halflife is about has been done better and a million times already. if it comes out its gonna feel really dated like DNF. |

IMHO there hasn't been a good FPS that's came out since the original Half-life.
HL was one of the last old school, pre EA shit fest games when people cared more about putting out good games than raking in money with a franchise. Oh, look, hundreds of maps for free? Oh, developer mods, for free? Sure there has obviously been a lot of good stuff that's come out since then, but I've yet to play ONE game that captured the excitement, and sheer joy of owning, as HL, Quake, Tribes, and games of that era. |

I have to disagree. When HL2 came out it was amazing, I imagine they will up the bar. The HL games have always been better than your standard shooter. |

The concept art is supposedly four years old and it's for HL2:E3 not HL3. Sadly, this doesn't give me any renewed hope that we'll see either the third episode or a third game anytime soon.

Borderlands is the ONLY thing that has captured my attention like HL did back in the day. |

Plus, Alyx is supposed to be going with Gordon to look for the Borealis, so it makes sense that she'd be in HL2:E3 or HL3. |
