Mrs. WICOUNSEL made one of my favorites for Father's Day. And she does it better than they do on Mont Saint-Michel. Had to share/brag.

Mixed greens or Zespri Sungold Kiwi.
The Nuremberger sauasages and cappuccino were nice too, but the omelette is a trick to make. Have to time it just right ![]() |

All of it looks good OP. Suddenly the yogurt and granola bar I had for breakfast seem woefully inadequate, I'm hungry again now.

Overpriced & overhyped, La mere Poulard omelette is just a cheap, quickly-made omelette and you can eat wayyyyy better by going outside of the Mont Saint-Michel.

We only eat grits with our BBQ up here and Iron Grate BBQ has the only grits worth eating. Pretty much everything they do is amazing. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/328446/32973422351-1ac2ee5b09-o-235889.JPG View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

It all looks good as in every single picture of food you posted.
One exception, the mushrooms with the filet. While I'm sure they were delicious, visually appealing they were not. Lucky fella. ![]() |

Thanks guys.
I agree a little lighter color on the farmer market mushrooms would have been more visually appealing, but the flavor was there. Hard to go wrong sauteing anything in Wisconsin butter. Filet and chops are just from Trader Joe's. Damn good though. Have to go to an "old world" meat market to get better around here, but Trader Joe's is two blocks away. Asparagus a bit limp. Usually she seasons and broils them giving the outside a little more crunch. This time she steamed them. I like the thought on saving the egg whites for mousse. Will have to suggest this next time. |

A little nonconformity is healthy.
Rules were meant to pushed to the limits and if necessary, broken. Otherwise society and culture will not advance. |

The only thing advancing in this thread is OP's waistline.
