Love the ninja who comes out of nowhere and takes the shooter down. Wonder whether he was a casino employee.

Ninja took a fatal shot as he tried to subdue the shooter.

He had some balls, that's for sure.

Sounds like the 'ninja' took 2 rounds to the neck and head then died.

That was my worst fear when I used to work the doors to clubs in Vegas. People don't take too kindly to being told they can't come in for whatever reason. At one point, at a certain club I worked at that had an entrance that was off if the street, I'd wear a level 3a vest under my suit.
We had some big fights at those front doors though. The biggest was at Tao in the Venetian. It was about 60 or so thugs that were with two rap artists. They tried to rush thorough our ropes and it was on in an instant. About 30 of our guys came down from inside the club when somebody finally radioed it in. Casino security showed up and one of the female casino security pulled her pepper spray and just pulled the trigger and started spinning around in a circle. Hit everyone she could see. Las Vegas metro finally showed and they arrested two of the thugs who went out to the parking garage and were trying to rush back up the escalator towards the fight. They each went and got guns from their car.

So many stories....

Too bad the so called "ninja" wasn't armed and couldn't shoot that piece of shit. Unfortunately his bravery was rewarded with his death.

Sure as hell had more balls than 99% of the badasses on here.

Should have put a round into the back of his head instead of tackling him.

This nightclub, Drai's' is an after-hours club. So people who get out of the regular clubs when they shut down continue their partying there (or other places like it.....or strip clubs). I've been there a handful of times, and it seemed everyone was on either coke or extacy.
It's owned by Victor Drai who was a movie producer and was married to Kelly LeBrock when she was in Weird Science. I worked for him briefly when he took over club operations at the Wynn.  My goodness that guy used to love yelling at people. He never yelled at me though, he'd just pat me on the shoulder when he'd walk by. Maybe cause I'd keep my mouth shut and just do my job.

I hope this shooter gets the death penalty. Over 30 bucks, killing one person and shooting two more.

For being unarmed he did what he could.  He was a pretty big guy, so his approach makes sense to me.  I'm a pretty small guy, so I would have given a serious look at using one of those metal posts as a weapon.

When they were wrestling for the gun on the ground, when the extra security arrived, while were they not stomping on the guy's fucking head. He was still a threat and had killed people. Deadly force would have been good to go.

Heroic but foolish. He underestimated his adversary.    The gunman looked like an accomplished killer.

Correct. Combatives or MMA training should be something everyone should train for, especially if you're ever caught unarmed.
