LSU just scored again. Looks like ND will lose their 9th consecutive bowl game. But, they haven't been getting bowl bids above their talent level, have they?
There is no way they deserved a BSC bowl bid, and the score proves it. |
when does the current BCS agreement expire?
ND needs to be dumped |
Major PWNAGE down in the swamp tonight.
LSU--><--ND ETA: And who says the SEC isn't tough as hell? |
Amen. Of course, the whole BCS needs to be dumped and replaced with a proper playoff. |
This is embarrassing for ND. They should've never been in the BCS anyway and it's been proved tonight.
HH |
Fixed it for you. |

Concrete proof that Notre Dame is and always has been, OVERRATED!!!
LSU - 41 ND - 14 Notre Dame's NINTH CONSECUTIVE BOWL LOSS |
Jamarcus Russell is a FAR better QB than I realized, and it's not as if I haven't seen him play before.
Penn State? |
He was a man among boys (the ND defense). |

A lot of Irish haters here. I'm an Irish fan, but oh well, there's always next year. I guess Georgia Tech didn't deserve a bowl game either since ND beat them. Michigan got their ass handed to them by USC, so I guess they're not worthy either. Any given team on any given day can beat another team. I will say the BCS system sucks though. Boise State should get a shot at the championship winner, but it won't happen.
ETA: I got my bowls mixed up. |
What! You mean Brady Quinn isn't the second coming of Jesus? Somebody please tell the ABC announcers. Besides losing the game I think Brady just lossed his being the first pick in the NFL draft. Jamarcus Russell is a much better QB than Quinn. Not really a runner, more a pocket passer than what you'd think but man can that big boy chunk the football!
The SEC always kills itself. Who did LSU lose to during the regular season? Auburn and Florida. Auburn? Florida and Arkansas. Florida lost to Auburn. Even though Auburn and Arkansas faded, and LSU had those tough losses earlier in the year, it's still the premier conference.
Penn State did put up a helluva defensive game though. |
LSU! LSU! LSU!
Once again, the highly overrated Irish lose their pathetic asses. SWEET! |
It's not that ND doesn't belong in a bowl. Just not in a major BCS bowl. They fit perfectly fine in playing the dotcom bowl, independence Bowl, Chicken McNugget bowl, etc. They just shouldn't be playing in bowls that have real football teams.
How could a ND fan possibly think the BCS sucks? (unless you think it unfairly puts you in bowl games that you can't win...) |
Wisconsin? |

Against a Schizo Tenneessee. You never know who the hell is going to show up when the Vols play. |

Tiger Bait!!!
Tiger Bait!!! Tiger Bait!!! Tiger Bait!!! Tiger Bait!!! Tiger Bait!!! Tiger Bait!!! No seriously, ND has been sucking hind tit for the last several years. |
LSU is the shit, and it hurts me to say that. They were definitely the best team we played this year (Razorbacks). They're way better than Florida right now.
I just don't agree with a computer having any selection in who goes where. The only way to fairly do it is to have a playoff. I'll be the first to admit that the Irish were over ranked this year, but I also believe they got dinged pretty hard when the only teams they lost two were Michigan and USC, who were two and three. I've been to my share of games and I have to say nothing beats going to a Michigan vs. Notre Dame game, regardless who wins. |

They've been far better the last two years compared to the Willingham or Davey days. Next years recruiting class looks real good. |
As a huge ND fan,
a drunk monky could of defended the deep ball better than the ND secondary, the DB's were 15 yards off the ball and stil getting burnt on streaks every opponent has know this for a long time. ND doesnt have the tallent to take it away. SC, UM, OSU, and now LSU have been able to use pure speed to burn them. while they did get their ass kicked tonight, 3 or 4 touchdowns came off of 50 yard bombs, If ND could of knocked down any of those balls, the offense would of not been one deminsional. congrate to LSU, you kicked our asses, and admittedly before the game i felt we would be smoked. fortunatly Wies is having a hell of a recruiting campain once again and maybe, a year or two down the road they will be able to close the tallent gap with some of the better programs my only request is to take some of that money one that is earned for a BCS apearence and hire a great DC. Minter is awful, he needs to go if ND should be dumped, So should Bama!!! |
I agree, they are over rated, THEY NEED TO FUCKING JOIN A CONFERENCE, pisses me off they get all that TV time and play shit teams half the time. I have been forever happy when Philip rivers and NC STATE ass whopped ND back 3 years ago. They are over rated by all the sports media, period. |
That's the big issue, the secondary. Same thing in the USC and Michigan games. Walker had 125 yards rushing in the first half tonight so the Irish game was partially there. Total yards and time of possession for LSU at the half was horrible. It's ND's fault, they've know they have an issue in the secondary and have not made any changes to fix it this season. |
They get all of that TV time because the have a program that is deeper than most in history and Irish fans are everywhere. The whole time I was stationed in Germany the ND games where the only ones I could get. I didn't mind of course. |

doesnt anybody think that teh hate is a bit over the edge
so ND had a good BCS deal, the AD gave that up last year, and home games are brodcast on NBC. the kids averaged a 3.0 this year they graduate in 4 years(98 black graduation rate compare to a 30% for OSU) they dont trashtalk and dance (Miami,FSU) they dont take in kids with criminal records(OSU,UM,Tenn) they through players of the team for a DUI or other minor infractions(USC) the kids speak proper english(too many to think of) after football, the Kids have all the tools to be productive members of society after lou holtzs left there was a deemphisis on football, and two horrible coches over 8 years almost ruined the program. finaly we have a great head coach, we just need to close the tallent gap and find a good DC to allow to compete again |
I don't know if you saw the same pre-game package that I saw, but you can't tell me that fuckin' meathead Sawardzjisa or however you spell his name, speaks "proper English." He was also acting like a crybaby on the field. Reminds me of that trash Jeremy Shockey. By the way, your English is pretty lacking. |
I know they have "history" but your telling me, Nebraska, OU, Penn State, Harvard, Yale, and a plethora of other colleges dont have a long college football track record!? Come on...they get a ton of money by not being in a conference as they dont need to SHARE IT, and thats most of the issue today. Bowl money, they dont share it within a conference like the big 12 does for example, they get it all, or thats how I understood it. Furthermore, I dont like Weiss, so Im glad to see him have his fat ass handed to him by the purple and gold. |

you are correct, Jeff isnt the best speaker,BUT
he is 1000 times a better speaker than superthug Jamarcus Russel. Holla I would have checked my grammer but i was trying to fit in with Jrizzle, |
AMEN! |
I am actually surprised LSU allowed Notre Dame to score 14 points.
But I knew it was going to be a slaughter. |
i dont know where the hate comes from, but it is always there--everywhere ND was definitely over-rated this year and i will be the first one to admit it--ive never been that into Brady Quinn--he has a lot of records, but so few ND QB's have been passers, its not surprising--plus, he played 4 years--Montana and Theismann only played 2 each, i believe ND is like any other team--they have good coaches and bad ones, good years and bad years--NBC carries the games because they have national appeal, and, i assume, they make money in advertising im not a fair weather fan--i am an ND fan all the time--all sports, win or lose--i am a college football fan--im glad to see a good game and see the best team or the underdog win sometimes i wish both teams could lose (the UM-USC bowl was a good example ) but i dont think im as vicious about it as the ND haters of the world |
Apparently still trying to fit in with "Jrizzle"...Holla! |
Next year let's make it TENTH. Or not. Okay, I admit it, I'm a hater. |
it's not hate, it's just a lack of respect. |
Well, no team has more history than Rutgers. There are a number of great college teams out there, but I don't think any of them have the fan base like ND. ND made a deal that was agreed to by the BCS and all involved. I'm sure any other college would do the same if they could. I don't think anyone loses money playing ND. The Navy game was played at the Ravens' stadium and was still sold out. I'm sure Navy doesn't mind the extra cash. |
Except for teams like Wisconsin and Arkansas who will lose out on $15.5 million because they were "bumped" from a BCS slot by an undeserving ND.... |
For the love of God, Charlie say "NO" to seconds and thirds once in awhile. |
I'm not an Irish hater, and I'm actually Catholic myself so it feels like a (minor) sin to hate on them anyway.
I think ND generates a lot of the hate by the "perks" they seem to get which haven't been earned. Can't blame them - any school would take the deal that's been offered too, but it's not surprising. All along, it was considered a lock that ND would get a BCS berth, and that's just wrong and a lot of people got ticked off. d_chicken: Thanks for taking it in stride. Sorry for rubbing it in. I still love ya'. |
There's no hate. I love winning $$$ betting against the Irish
ETA: /Jim Rome/ You can be certain of three things, death, taxes, and ND getting crushed in a bowl game. /Jim Rome/ Mark |
