so i get off duty, i get home round up the little lady to go to our small but cozy corner bar/restaraunt.
before we leave i put on my trusty "W" cap & head out. we pull into the parking lot and park behind a car that has "Massachusetts" plates. noticing that & the other familure vehicles there (only a few in total) I said to the GF; "Check it out, somebody's gonna just luv my hat!". we both chuckled and walked inside. she sits down at the booth and i walk up to the bar to get our drinkys and i notice this older guy totally glaring at me from across the bar, at my hat in particular. he actually stood up from his stool staring the whole time and then nods his head side to side at me. i did not recognize ever seeing him there before and just knew it was him (there wasn't many people inside). i kindly gave him a 'tip of the hat' return nod and left for my booth. about a minute later, here comes this ass-pallete giving this look of death as he walked by to go to the little losers room (rather a look of defeat). my GF, usually oblivious to everything says; "welp, there's the guy from kerry land". we both chuckled. i was hoping he'd say something but didn't. the day i had, he would've generated a goody response if he did. and oh yea, i would've shot his dog too if he had one (there! i said it so you can't through in any tired cop/dog jokes in  )anyway, sounds like nothing but you should have seen the total contempt he had for me. it really warmed my heart.

I was in As$achussetts the day that sKerry conceded. As i drove high above the ground in my pro-gun sticker- laden Silverado, I witnessed many a sad face and even some tear shedding dems on the hiways and biways of the Peoples Republik of As$achussetts... Best day of my life!

Not very many of them here, nearly all of the ones that supported him abandoned all hope on the 3rd, the rest just blame Bush for their crimes they did back in the 90s.

I have long since given up hope of even having a small three sentence conversation with liberals. They just don't get it, and I just don't have the time anymore. I used to even be friends with some, used to shoot with them, not anymore. I just won't hang around them anymore.
I have never liked Socialists, and I don't have any money for their "gas". |

I did too, makes seven. Actually there are many Republicans in MA, it's just that there are more liberals, utterly committed, utterly wacky liberals here than Republicans. I could go on for hours about the Dims, but suffice it to say, I noticed the same thing VT4meGunCtrlisAntiUS did the day Kerry conceded. I was working at Concord North Bridge for the National Park Service as an historical interpreter, and everybody I spoke with looked and acted like there was a funeral going on, and Mother Teresa had died. I had no idea what was going on, as I had not heard the news about Kerry conceding yet, until one of the park rangers mentioned it to me, near some members of the public. I mused, "Oh, wow- he conceded- that was classy of the guy- I honestly expected another 2000 style imbroglio, all the way to the Supreme Court. He's pulling a Nixon, just like in 1960, when he conceded, even though everybody knew Kennedy and the Democrats bought the votes in Chicago." Some lady went ballistic when she heard me say this and said "we Democrats" should "cheat, lie, steal our way back to the White House- break out the dirty tricks". "You mean be just like Dick Nixon and the Republicans in the 1970s?" I sweetly asked. The irony flew past her like an RPG bouncing off the hull of a tank...

 The day after the election, my first class started in the afternoon and as I walked into the classroom, everyone had the most saddened look on their faces. All they talked about the entire class was how "Bush stole another one". Finally I had to speak up and ask "Am I the only Republican in this damn school?" Needless to say, I got some angry looks |

There ya go! NB: mentioning you are a Republican gunowner in eastern MA to people in conversation is tantamount to saying you are a Devil-worshipping child molester. No wait- you'd have a better chance if you were the latter, unless you were a Catholic priest. Although there have been times I have had people tell me, "yes, I'm a gunowner, too...", while looking around to see if anybody's listening...it's like The Invasion of the Body Snatchers here, sometimes.....

Another vote here in mass for GW,and i was overjoyed the day after the election.
The night of the election I was at the outback steak house in burlington and there is a brazillian girl that works there and she asked if me and my buddies voted that day and we said yes and she said that she wished she could've voted,so I ask who would she have voted for and she said kerry of course,Then i ask her why, get this she said that she wants more free benifits and free health care. that when i asked her my last question, WHAT DOES THIS COUNTRY OWE YOU she says what?and i repeated the question and she had this look in her eyes like a deer in the head-lights look. then i tell her that maybe she should move to canada because they have free health care,just don't get sick because you'll have to wait for an appoitment to she a doc. need less to say she didn't talk to me anymore p.s. and no i didn't stick it in her pooper and take pics.

ETA: I'll tell you what worries me: It's the number of Kerry/Edwards stickers I saw while touring my new home town of Raleigh-Durham, NC!

I voted a straight Replican ticket except for the ones that went uncontested for the Dems.
