Well, I went in tonight to pick up a Coleman Lantern. While I was there, I decided to get some 9mm ammo and just buy it all in Sporting goods. Dumb and Dumber were working this evening.

Whilst they are both taking forever to ring up a deer hunting license, I eyeball the ammo case and see there are only 2 100 round boxes left.

When one finally gets around to me, i plop the lantern and propane down, and ask for all the 9mm 100 round boxes they have. He pulls the two out and says thats all they have. By now, there is quite a crowd behind me wiating for deer licenses. Most rolling thier eyes at the antics of these two idiots.

when he rings it up, and asks me if its for a rifle or handgun, I ask him why they need to know. He launches into a explination about people under 21 not buying handgun ammo. The AssClown behind me is starting to name off to his friends all the long guns that use 9mm since one of them had said something about 9mm being a pistola ammo type.

Anyway, the guy asks again "Rifle, or Handgun". I state with as straight a face as I can, "MP5 submachine gun, that would be long gun right"? The Dumb and Dumber both say, "Cool"! and the AssClown behind me shuts up immediatly and looks as if he is about to crap himself.

I did manage to make it to the Automotive area before I cracked up.

Thats great! I always wondered why they ask that, thats the best answer you could have given!  I did the Walmart thing today too, never seen so much white trash in my life!

You American Cowboys. Using a sub gun on deer is not sporting. In Uzbekistan it would not be tolerated.

My local WalMart refuses to order (or stock) bulk ammo.

People who shop at Walmart get what they deserve.

You guys actually still buy ammo at a store?

Whenever I'm in my local Mom 'n' Pop sports store or dedicated gunshop I always look around, usually can find something to buy, sometimes ammo. Walmart will survive whether I buy from them or not - the small shops may not.

Ahh yes, the old "machine gun" line at walmart.  Best used while also purchasing large quantites of alcohol, (alternativly, dark clothes and ski-masks).  [;D]  Especially fun if there are any "soccer moms" in earshot.

I was in my local Walllyworld Friday and picked up two 100 boxes of Winchester 9mm (all they had) Say what you want to about Wal-Mart but it was $10.97 a box and that's a great price!
