I'll go ahead and say.........
Big Trouble in Little China

Jack Burton: When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, looks you crooked in the eye and asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?"
"Yessir, the check is in the mail."

Here is a list

Gotta say something from Escape from New York, as well.

Escape from LA.........

[facing four gunmen at once]
Snake Plissken: I'm gonna give you assholes a chance. What do you say we play a little Bangkok Rules?
[picks up a tin can. The four gunmen back up and get ready]
Snake Plissken: Nobody draws until this hits the ground.
[throws the can high into the air, then pulls his revolvers and kills all four gunmen before the can lands. Can hits the ground]
Snake Plissken: Draw.

I think "Backdraft" is one of his best performances.

Awesome line.

Or, one of my favorites from "The Thing"

It gets thawed out, wakes up. Probably not in the best of moods ..."

"How ya' doing? Hmmm?" As he's sticking an MP5 in the guard's gut in "Stargate".

I think I gotta' go with Sukebe saying "Backdraft" was his best performance.

But I love the hell out of "Capt. Ron". Love "Stargate" and "Tombstone". "Soldier" isn't a bad movie, but he don't say much. I've got these 4 movies, guess I'm going to have to get "Backdraft" too soon.

The THING for best movie.

"So this thing wakes-up after 20,000 years PROBABLY NOT in the best of moods...." From the same flick.

What a great flick...yet I don't have it on DVD, for some silly reason. I've actually had a hankerin' to watch it lately.

The best movie Kurt Russell starred in was "Miracle." Hands down.

His best performance is almost a tie:

1a. As Herb Brooks in "Miracle."

1b. As Bull in "Backdraft."

(Backdraft sucked as a whole, though. Script was awful and whoever was the technical advisor better not be a real fireman)

"Give my regards to King Tut!"
Link Posted: 8/3/2005 5:47:48 AM EDT
Russell gets the best closing scenes of any actor - The Thing is just one classic example:

[as the flames of outpost 31 reach their peek]

Childs: How will we make it?
MacReady: Maybe we shouldn't.
Childs: Well...what do we do?

MacReady: Why don't we just wait here for a while... see what happens...

Skin=leather holster
smokewagon=revolver, it has a cylinder (wagon wheel), and black powder makes a lot of smoke (smoke)

Fuck yeah!

Escape From New York and The Thing were his classics. Both of those movies kick tons of ass.

I always liked Kurt Russel Movies

Escape from Ney York
Excape from LA
The Thing
Backdraft
Stargate

I love the ending of Escape from LA
"I press the button they loose you win. I don't press the button you lose they win." <punches in the world code 666 and hits enter>

There needs to be another Pliskin movie. I don't know were he would escape from though. Escape from Kalifornia? Maybe a prequill. They always were mentioning stories about him.

Big +1 for Captain Ron. Glad to see fellow followers.

right off of imdb:

Captain Ron: Alright, that's more like it, now you're talking. You can do it, mates. I've never seen such sailors. Not in all my born days, I ain't. Naturals. My God, everyone of you, naturals... We're gonna fucking die.

Thought he was great in Vanilla Sky too. When he came bursting through the rooftop door at the end I was cracking up.

Weird, I never thought of myself as a fan of his but I like all of his movies. Doesn't take himself too seriously.

Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right in the eye and says, Give me your best shot. I can take it.

Margo...My god, aren't you going to even kiss her goodbye?
Jack...Nope.
Gracie...See ya around Burton
Jack...Never can tell

Jeff: For Christ's sake, we're fuckin' with the President of the United States.
Rudy: He fucks with us, doesn't he?

Though I will say that Frank McRae (Jim the mechanic) probably had the most memorable lines in "Used Cars". And Gerrit Graham's (Jeff, the superstitious salesman) pirate commercial as Marshall Lucky is one of the most pee-your-pants funny bits on film I've ever seen.

"The Thing" is chock full of good lines by Russel, same for "Big Trouble In Little China".

"Are you crazy... Is that your problem?"
"Ok, you people! Sit tight, hold the fort and keep the home fires burning. And if we're not back by dawn... call the president. "

Captain Ron was great

I became a fan with Tango and Cash
while it wasn't a great movie, I just liked his performance I guess

one of my favorite parts was in the beginning with Stallone where someone said(about him):
"He thinks he's Rambo"
