Been in that bar more than a few times, I don't think I spent a sober day when I was off work and lived in Kona!

Never been impressed by kona beers. They aren't bad, just kinda boring.  Also, they market as "hawaiian" while actually being made in the Continental US.

Did you go fishing yet? My friend was there about 3 weeks ago and got 2 yellowfin tuna "Ahi". Good size too, 70 and 80+lbs.

The KBC beers sold on draft in the islands are made in Kona. The bottled crap is made in Oregon.

Kona is great compared to the macro shit.  I think that's who Kona is targeting.

What was the beer that used to advertise it came in special 'aluminum beer canoes'?
Adverts ran late 80s on the radio.

Have you gone over to the Green Sand Beach, or jump off the Southernmost pont?

Kona doesn't have many beaches, but you can find some small hidden ones where you'll have the whole place to yourself.  You just may have to hike or walk in but it's worth it.

I miss the old paint schemes and badges from the early 2000s. The bicolor frames and leafy, flowery graphics.

@Kested - Just got back from Kona. Are you interested in local food? Cause I can recommend a dive with the best food on the island. But its not everyone's cup of tea if you prefer the tourist stuff.
