Heard a few songs today and have to say I liked them.
Haven't heard much of them and was wondering if I should look deeper. The ghey? |
I'll admit it. I like some of their songs. Sex on Fire is not one of them.
They're a good band that puts on a great live show. Nothing gay about that.

I can save you but it involves 24 hours or more of Dethklok. What if you like both. |

Catchy tunes, but they have no talent. It's truly one of the most bizarre combinations I've ever heard. I catch a song on the radio, listen to it, and think "Man, what an awesome tune. These guys suck."

why? they kick ass. I only heard 3 songs...two were great but don't remember the names. Was wondering the general thought of this place. |
I learned when I lived in Dubai, British chicks dig them. Whatever they liked, always helped me out.
Wife and I saw them @ Merriweather.
Plenty of fine chicky snacks in the crowd. |

I *think* I know what you're saying, and I agree 100% It's not bad per say, just seems like the generic, trendy, pop-rock group of the moment, and actually that moment was quite awhile ago, like well over a year ago. |

They are my nomination for worst band to make it big. Pretty sure Creed won that award. Nickelback got runner-up. |

They are a good band. I guess if you actually know how to play your instruments and write songs you are considered, the worst band to make it big? There are very few bands these days that are as talented as these guys. Check out Rose Hill Drive too.

Ghey..with a few exceptions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHOyahv4hSE

I can respect any band nowadays that sounds as good or better live vs. the studio cuts and kings of leon is one of those bands.
There's only one way to tell. Just picture this: You're sitting there, jamming out to kings of leon, thinking they kind of rock. Is there a penis in your ass? If yes, then I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but you're gay. If not, perhaps just a bit effiminate, just drink some bourbon, smoke a cigar, and clean a gun and you'll have paid your penance.

I like KOL and I won't apologize for it. They're a great band.
Couple good songs.......otherwise nothing worth listening to.

I saw JET live as they opened for papa roach and they put on a hell of a show. "Cold Hard Bitch" is an awesome song.
I like a few of the songs. I really like the song "On call" but most the rest are just ok.

new stuff? leave your man card on my desk and don't let the door hit you in the vagina on the way out...
old stuff? its pretty fucking good. |

I like some of their stuff. I have some of it on my playlist. I don't see the harm in liking it.
From the stuff they play on the radio, I'm not a fan. I'll change the station whenever I hear one of their songs start.

They've got something new due out soon, I'm looking forward to it. Their last album was too much of a departure from what I really like about them. I don't hate the album, but some of the songs on it are pure WTF. |

i like the songs of theirs that are ON THE RADIO
i listened to a bunch of their songs that were NOT on the radio and wanted to stab my eyes with an ice pick. |
I LOVE them
and they are manly men so any dude that digs them is cool by me... |

Sidenote friends of mine saw them before they were big playing tiny venues in Murfreesboro. I hate the sex on fire album but love the older stuff. |
Saw them in Seattle when they opened for U2 a few years ago before they really hit the main stream. I had never heard of them until then. I like them now.
4 Kicks, probably my favorite of their songs! Their first couple of albums are MUCH better than the later, more radio friendly stuff.
I like their sound, but they seem a little bland and unadventurous as songwriters. If they had a frontman like Jack White they'd be killer. If you like the Kings, check out The Black Keys and Backyard Tire Fire.
