My wife is broken down at a gas station outside of Tyler on I-20. I'll pay for your dinner/beer if you go guard her.
ETA: I'm on my way, driving from Dallas. I'm 2-3 hours out by the time I get the trailer. Update Truck died when I hitched the trailer at haul. Tow truck coming to to the truck to the shop. Friend on his way with his truck to get me and the trailer Update 2: Home safe. Thank you to all that called and offered help, and to those who IM'd me. Your offers to help are sincerely appreciated. |

Very sorry to hear that hondaciv. I hope someone in the area steps up to help.

I am trying to imagine a scenario in which I would ask random Arfcom GDer's to "guard" my family.

I don't mean to go against the grain or look upon arfcom members as bad...... but.....
I don't think I'd advertise on a public forum that my wife was unarmed and stranded on the side of the road. You never really know who's reading these. But my wife says I'm hypersensitive to safety issues so.... maybe I'm wrong. Hope all ends well. |

Aluminum oil pans can be cracked as they are cast Al. And an ordinary bar of soap will work to fill in the crack if small. Oil causes soap to swell. If a pressure leak, repair is harder. |

If this was happening back in late September I could have been of some help.
There are some arfcomers in Tyler. One does a little gun writing IIRC. If she's on the NW side of town, that part looked pretty safe to me. Goodluck, 7mm |
