Yes. A friends girlfriend was part of a musical group that was raising capital. Got an autographed first album or something, IIRC.
Kickstarter is GTG in my experience, though I've never made donations to people who I didn't at least have a distant connection to. |

50% Success for me. One went forward and I got the product, the other was cancelled, but supposed to be brought back later.

CSF I've funded a few games, which are running late, a multitool which ships this month (in theory), a pen which delivered on time, and a deck of cards that's not closed yet. So far, the only complaint I've had is "everyone runs late". Most of the projects I've backed have been either very small, or run by a well known company. |

Both projects I've funded have delivered. One is a comic book series by a friend (which has allowed him to further develop the deal) and the other was the IO Aimpoint T1 cover.
