SPRING GREEN, United States (AFP) - Democratic presidential challenger John Kerry (news - web sites) appealed for an end to the TV advertising war that has marked his election battle against President George W. Bush (news - web sites). Kerry said the avalanche of negative television spots and attacks being shown on US screens was scaring off voters. "Americans need a real conversation over our future," Kerry said in a speech at a school in Spring Green, Wisconsin. "What they don't need is all these trumped up advertisements, they just make people curl up and walk away," added the Massachusetts senator. Comment: I remember "BRING IT ON"...... well Mr. Kerry it has been BROUGHT.

Why yes, the President did ask for this to stop weeks ago, and repeated that last night on O'reilly. Apparently however Kerry just now gets it. Apparently the negative ads towards the President were having a bad effect on kerry and the negative ads by the swiftvets have been just devastating.

To show his good faith Kerry should ask MoveOn and MEdiaFund to stop their ads first. Funny how now that the GOP has 3-4 good 517 orgs running lots of ads the Dems don't like big media campaigns anymore.

Reminds me of a tale I heard about a couple of old-school deputies who were serving an arrest warrant. The mope starts shooting at them through a window, yelling "Bring it on!" and other such nonsense. Well after randomly shooting for a while, it seems that the mope ran out of ammunition, so he throws his pistol out the window and says that he gives up. One of the deputies retrieves the weapon, sees that it is indeed unloaded, tosses it back into the house and yells, "You started this!"

Don't all the ads have to stop 30 days prior to the election anyway? Which will be this coming Saturday October the 2nd.
So Kerry is just trying to take the high ground without really meaning to make his buds at moveon.org stop. |

I just can't wait for Nov 3rd, after months of not believing that Bush had a chance, I look around and it appears that not only he has a chnace but a good probability of winning. Bush is going to jam it in, and break it if in and break it off in Kerry's ass.
