Years ago I read somewhere that the town of Kennesaw, GA, passed an ordnance requiring all adult residents to own a firearm.

Is there any truth to this or just another urban legend?

Still true.  It's a misdemeanor offense for the head of a household not to be armed.  (Although they have never enforced that ruling).

By the way, the violent crime rate in Kennesaw (not very high to begin with), fell significantly after the law was passed, along with the non-violent "property" crimes.  Wonder why?

By Grandfather-in-law has lived there for years.
