"Beth" fucking sucked balls.

It made me question my decision to be a drummer!

But, not for long. "Moby Dick" cured that brief affliction!

But, I digress.

I was pretty fond of the sentiments expressed in "Ladies in Waiting" and "Love 'em, Leave 'em".

And "Doctor Love", of course.

Ha! And imagine if "Christine 16" were recorded today! LOL

From 74 to 77 there was not a better band.  Not one.

Every kid in my junior high school had some sort of KISS logo on their notebook, locker, or clothes/shoes.  The quickest and easiest way to project an image of coolness to fellow 14 year-olds in 1976 was to write "KISS" with the lightning S on everything you owned.

I got autographs from all the band after thieir show in the Tulsa coliseum in about 1975   My buddy and me sped around the hall and were outside when they came out, , the first thing I could grab to be signed was popcorn box from the trash can. Gene looked at me and said really, you were in the  front row  and this is all you do?. I already had Peters drumsticks, and a handful of  Ace  guitar picks. An epic show.  Yes I wore the Kiss T shirt every day to school till it I was rags.

The wife and I go to see KISS all the time. We've both been fans since we were kids. After the last show we saw, I posted this on FB:

Here's a band, almost 35 years past their prime, with a set-list that comes almost exclusively from before 1980, and they can still put 20,000 asses in the seats. Frankly, as we were watching the show, I realized that going to see KISS isn't "going to a concert."

Going to see KISS is like going to the state fair to see Evel Knievel jump 20 Greyhound buses. Going to see KISS is like going to see fireworks on the 4th of July. Going to see KISS is like going to Grandma's house for Thanksgiving.

At this point, is it a little corny... maybe even schmaltzy? Sure. (And that's probably the first time that a man in platform boots spitting blood and breathing fire was described as "schmaltzy.")

However, you can't argue that, in it's own weird way, a KISS show is like a straight-up slice of 70's Americana; it's like an avocado refrigerator with pyrotechnics.

I got my first KISS album when I was 8. When they played "Hotter Than Hell" last night, I enjoyed it just as much as I did 38 years ago.

That, my friends, is a pretty neat trick.

Lots of truth there. When I saw them on one of their reunion tours it took me right back to 1976. Obviously the show better but it was the same. I was surrounded by youngsters at that show. I was somewhat of a celebrity since I had seen then way back when

Must be some good drugs where you're from. QUEEN, AEROSMITH, BAD COMPANY, AC/DC. Do I need to go on?

I used to have one of the pop out paper love gun that came with that album.   You flicked it and the paper popped out of the front and made a pop sound.

The best song might be a toss up between Strutter and Deuce.

"So baby if you feeling good, and baby if your feeling hot."

"You know your man is working hard"

"Hes worth the Deuce."

Call me a heretic...but I just never liked anything Kiss.   I grew up in the 70's too, but just did not think their music was all that great.  I thought the make up was gay back then, and still do

My brother caught Paul's fire helmet when they played firehouse in the late 70's. My favorite song is Love Theme also Ozone off of Aces solo record.

I'm with you. All of my friends loved KISS and played them all the time. Meh.

Aerosmith, Nugent, Rush, anything but KISS for me.

Except for 100,000 Years.  Love that one.

You guys should cheak out the kiss movie.

Im sure some of you have seen it.  I know the special effects are garbage compared to today but really it was a cool movie for back then as a kid.
